Memphis is a tough team that had a size and athleticism advantage. They also played borderline dirty, very, very physical. Dallas is not a big team and they play clean. Warriors picked them apart. I’m 100% dub nation back to the days Antoine Jamison but I’m sure Dallas will bring it moving forward, but I’m going with Dubs in 6.

It’s ok that he didn’t become the next t Mac. his defense on luka was pretty good, so I gotta give credit where it’s due. Dude can be remembered as a much better tayshaun prince if gs wins a chip. and there’s nothing wrong with that, besides the fact that he was a number 1 pick. Which is fine, considering that there have been plenty of worse #1 picks throughout history. Didn’t reach his potential, but still has a chance to be a top defender on a championship team. It could be worse.

These dudes play beautiful basketball in their passing and team defense. People complain about their turnovers but the chances of that happening tend to go up when a team moves the ball around more. Can't wait to see what they'll be like when they get Payton 2 and Iggy back. Wiggins deserved the game ball in Gm1.

He made some strong defensive plays, and I think about how he bothered Morant on his miss in Game 1 - he was right there and did not take the foul. He helped save the game. That's pretty huge. That's elite. It would not be surprising if he lost half a step given his injury, but I am not seeing it right now. Besides, can you even imagine how hard it is to resurrect both your offense and defense after injury? One is bound to drop off until the other is fixed, like he is focusing on getting his offensive game back so his defense would suffer until he does...

Warriors have not seen it all, well maybe for today league. But based on today's league what Luka doing is not special. It is a league based on 3's with some defense. Not a defense oriented league that is why the scores average over 100 a game. Unlike in the 80 - early 00s. They keep trying to compare Luka to Larry Bird after four years. But he is no Larry Bird, he looks like he could only time will tell. Also there are no real rivalries and no real physical competition in the soft NBA we have now.

Kevon Looney, and his experience with these men, reveals how talented he is as a shorter center in the NBA. He is underpaid greatly, but he never complains because he is apart of a team led by Bob Myers, and Steve Kerr who have distinctive advantages over their competitors in most situations. Steve played with the greatest NBA basketball player that has ever laced them up. Michael Jordan has taught so many men how to win, no matter what the conditions one might find themselves up against. Phil Jackson has more to do with Steve Kerr’s Aptitude than anyone else IMO. If Golden State gets past Dallas and play Boston. I think you will see a 7 game series to the death( just a metaphor). Miami would not be able to go more than 6 games with Golden State, and The Warriors would Handily beat them again IMO.The Warriors need 7 more victories to earn their next world championship. I think it is probable that they achieve a championship for so many reasons. Stephen Curry in his entire career has never been this strong, and it has helped him overcome more than you can see with one look. As you watch him play since their series with Denver. Stephen has not missed a beat. The physical pounding he takes on all the screen and rolls, and cutting he does each and every game take a toll. But this year he has never been more able to physically handle the grind. He will be sore after the playoffs, but he is enduring and he looks very healthy. I think it is his strength and experience not to mention his natural ability to shoot better than almost any other shooter I have seen play in the NBA in the last 3 decades.

I think Boston Versatility both defensive and offensive will be hard for the Warriors to handle. Their's only advantage right now is championship experience.

I do believe Kuminga could be that piece that Steve uses, and teaches up if they make it to The Finals. But they must get there first. Stephen impresses me this year based on all his strength building since last year. It has helped him beat his age so to speak. 7 more wins and the Larry O’Brien is there’s. Not going to be easy.

I would love to hear from Larry Brown, Pat Riley, Phil Jackson but especially Greg Popovich on how you stop the warriors. My Nuggets got trounced, the Grizzles played physical and still got laid to rest, now Dallas seems to be struggling, I’m sure Coach Kidd will make some adjustments and the players will perform better, but how do you stop a team that has three true dead eye shooters and moves the ball so effortlessly, the worst matchup I see for GS is Miami but my goodness the dubs look unstoppable. I have always held my opinion that teams like GS ruined the game by just pop up shooting and 3s, I’m a huge fan of the Spurs ball movement get the best shot - get down low, like the Lakers did with Shaq or the Nuggs do with Jokic. The game has evolved I guess my opinion should as well.

The warriors are known for shooting threes but they haven't shot the most threes in the league for a long time. Since KD, they've mostly been a mid range team and have lead the league in mid range points several times.

That's the thing. They don'r just pop up 3's. They have 2 or 3 guys who do, and those guys still take and make a lot of other shots. The proficiency of those guys outside even at high volume, combined with the movement and multitude of screens makes them basically impossible to beat unless you can find a way to make their offense more stagnant. Or if they get out of their game plan and beat themselves.

Charles forgot that the Warriors are experienced in this. And not just any teams, but battling Lebron, Kawhi, Harden, etc. Yes they have had bad games, like game five against Memphis. But they figured it out. They have a chemistry unrivaled in the NBA. If the Warriors were to lose, it would be their own doing (turnovers). But they are smart and play smart ball. They are stacked as well.

I don’t see that working as well against the warriors bc they’re better offensively than the suns but the mavs will definitely adjust. Still don’t seem them winning the series though

The Warriors are a different animal, especially at home. But, this is just one game. The Mavericks are gonna make the proper adjustments, play better defense and cut down on the live ball turnovers, even though they didn’t turn it over a whole lot tonight

The key to GSW winning this series is their movement. Suns basically run a screen and ISO style offense with CP3 dribbling the clock out. Dallas took a few games to figure that out.. Even game 1 of the Phoenix series Luka went for 40+.....GSW has 2-3 guys running screens and dribble pass actions on every possession. Dallas will have to chase movement on defense and then have legs to make jump shots. I'm not sue why the media never gives GSW credit. This team has been to 5 finals and are on the verge of another one. This is a Dynasty team. People worship Jordan, Phil Jackson and Tex Winter but won't give Steve Kerr credit as being from that same cloth..

Well Dallas have lost all their first game this playoff so it's not a huge surprise, when they lost the 2 first games versus Phoenix everybody said it was different from Utah as well and they're not good enough, so we'll see if they can adapt once again to the opponent.

Klay is the one they don’t have to worry abt beating you off the dribble but if he’s open in a catch and shoot situation then the Mavs are gonna get torched. The one thing the Warriors did this game was make Luka get uncomfortable and tired, in the Suns series they were playing his game and it costed them. The Warriors are gonna trap him, Dray and Wiggins gonna bother him and once he gets tired it’s a wrap. He also had 7 turnovers

@@fmo85 Dallas is already slow with Luka's old man tempo, if they go big, they are going to be even slower. GSW is notorious for being one of the fastest team in NBA. It is just that they turn the ball over too many times. So I can understand why Kidd tried this small lineup. It is Mavs' best chance, it is just that their shots aren't going in. Dallas is the slowest during 2021-22 regular season pace-wise, and 4th from bottom in the playoffs. They rarely run & gun their possessions. Suns is 7th slowest team in the NBA, because CP3 is old and the rest of the guys rarely gun their possessions (the image of Mikal Bridges getting blocked by Giannis probably traumatised them). Set play-wise, Suns tend to love Spain pick & roll that broke down during the playoffs because Ayton doesn't really get the ball, Booker or CP3 iso plays (which was perfect during earlier series), and corner 3 kick-outs. Mavs simply eliminated the corner offense, Monty ditched Ayton as the roll man, CP3 shuts himself down, and Booker can't carry a broken team.

Could someone explain the insane margins of victory in these playoffs. There were plenty of close games in the first round, but since then it has been blowout after blowout. Theses teams in the conference semis and finals should be more evenly matched, but 16 of the 26 games were won by 10+ and nearly half won by +20.
