For us Japanese, "KOKUYO Campus" is one of the most familiar notebooks. This is the first time I've heard about the manufacturing process. Thank you. Greetings from Japan to all those who love stationery.
@hoyinwong4 ай бұрын
I love the Japanese esthetic in so many stationery products. Kokuyo, Hobonichi, Travelers, so many wonderful pens, erasers, inks, desktop items, etc. We are very lucky to have JetPens here in the U.S. now to bring us many of these products. Their website is absolutely perfect regarding product display, testing, comparisons, along with so many videos now available. I hope that JetPens can come back to Japan for MORE of these factory tours. Love this video !

I'm jealous! They cost much more in America than I imagine they do in Japan. Otherwise I would gladly use Kokuyo Campus notebooks over US brands. They are the ideal notebook in my opinion.

I’ve been using kokuyo notebooks for a while now. When I run out, it’s really hard going back to using the things I used before. You can really tell the care and attention that was put into making the notebooks, and it makes writing in them so much better. Thank you to all the workers at the factory, I am unironically a big fan of your work.

I feel the same about my beloved Midori MD.
@Superfluffyfish4 ай бұрын
@@Psykel Yeah, you can really tell the care and attention they put into the Midori MD, unfortunately they don’t make them in my preferred format. Otherwise that would be my journaling brand, no questions asked. I love fountain pens on MD paper. But for work I have to have kokuyo. The 6mm dotted line is perfect for how I take notes and develop projects.
@Psykel4 ай бұрын
@@Superfluffyfish Yeah, I just use it in my spare time for journaling and stuff. Sadly don’t have much use for pen and paper writing for work.

More "how it's made" videos if/when you can JetPens. This was outstanding. I see here in the comments a post from someone in Japan who grew up with Kokuyo notebooks, and remarked that this is the first time he/she is able to see how they are crafted ! Thanks to JetPens !

I love how much care and attention goes into perfecting a product like this. Sounds cheesy I know, but knowing this background elevates the everyday experience of using it. I’ve actually never used a Campus notebook but I’m a big fan of Kokuyo’s Jibun Techo planners so I’ll have to try a Campus notebook.

This was so cool, getting to see where/how my precious Kokuyo paper is made. If I had one of those printed rolls, I'd be in heaven, lol... I had to chuckle at Josh light-checking the paper. :) As an American, it's so neat to see Sakura just...growing wild...out in the middle of fields. Fields! Here along the East Coast of the US, you only see those in Washington DC (a gorgeous and generous gift from Japan starting over a hundred years ago, and another 250 of them just this year!) or when someone has paid a lot of money to have one planted in their yard. Even though Sakura normally only live 30-40 years, the first two Sakura gifted to DC in 1912 are still alive today.

so Kokuyo USA made the college ruled loose leaf paper here In America or in Japan? That's so cool! But I am so used to writing either on 5mm or 6mm dot lined looseleaf paper. But hey, a lot of high school and college students used these for their note taking. This is a very cool video how Kokuyo produces their notebooks. I wonder if you can do a future video segment with Bande washi tape products especially the washi sticker roll.
