I loved your style after reading your book "The New Bohemian Handbook" - I want more! 😁❤️ One year ago I changed everything in my little home (only two rooms and a kitchen), I was inspired Art Deco, jungle (I've got more than 150 plants), glamour ang Boho- too many as it would looks good. Anyway, I stoped with decorating, when I will have an idea for make something with my home, which I would be enjoy. Lucky for me- I bought your book! The inspiration had come, thank you! I'm just starting whith changes, trying different colors (in jungle Type). I saw, that we have very sinilar sofas- Deep, dark green, almost sea green. I had a little troubles with details, of course Gold and Black, but what else? I like violet, blue (is in my hall, kitchen and bathroom), but I don't like Red- anyway I know, that it looks the Best with this colors, but it's not for me... Maybe could you tell me, what should I do with it? Please!

Cucina in italian means kitchen... she pronounced it correctly.

The pronunciation is for the Italian word "cucina" which is similar to Spanish word "cocina". But yes when pronounced in Italian sounds like "cochina" in Spanish, which means "pork" or Spanish slang for "dirty".

I think she's adorable, but I would really liked to have seen this darling 1920's Spanish style bungalow in its original condition before they blew open the living room like a condominium and added that horrific bar area. Why is this such a trend? I think it is such a shame when they do this to classic architecture such as this home. It ruins the integrity of the home IMHO. Not to mention I could never with the stove right there backed up to the bar. Yeah, no. Not interested in cooking spaghetti practically in the middle of the living room. I'm kidding. I'm not interested in cooking spaghetti at all. But I digress, I am over the open concept being forced on homes from this era. If you want a new open concept condo, then buy one, but please stop retrofitting ugly things in charming cottages. I can only imagine the period charm of the original kitchen that was destroyed for her "jungalow." Boo.
