Clearly, based on your attitude, rather than your background, your opinions regarding training are remarkable. I see too many military and airline pilots that fail to have your view. Excellent ownership advice/experience video.

You are sharp in breaking the costs and all up keep done. As a retired A&P and so many GA owners try to cut costs and then to catch up on repairs as it snowballs. Thanks for the video.

These go for around $300k. All those upgrades probably $70k-$140k. Cheaper than a diamond DA62 and more adventureristic quality. Damn. These things are built solid.

Skymaster is a cool airplane. Always was. Still is..! 😊 The early rare 336 (lighter) was a rip-snorter for '64 days - excel initial climb..!

Always love looking at your videos. You mentioned Baron and 310...did you consider the Aztec and if so why not the Aztec? It is slower than the Baron and 310 but has a good load and good single engine performance. Not as good looking either...
@billinga
@billinga Жыл бұрын
Yes, I did consider platforms from Piper also. The Baron (55, 58) and Cessna 310 (P,Q, R) were better performers overall. OEI at 250FPM at sea level is tops in class and both Baron and 310 can achieve. As for as load capacity, the Baron and 310 allow better load capacity by trading fuel for weight. Thanks for watching!!

Indeed, flying privately is not the most economical choice in some applications. But it has shown to be most viable choice in some small market/short leg options. You're a Mike Busch guy but not running LOP? Pfft
@billinga
@billinga Жыл бұрын
Yep.risk management and condition based maintenance. LOP has few benefits and more risks. But if done correctly, is a reasonable approach. For my panel, better instrumentation and I would run LOP. Thanks for watching and stay safe!!
