Why would I pay stateside prices in Medellin? Nah, if I'm going to pay that, I may as well just stay in the states. This right here is the issue when foreigners are just willing to pay whatever, drives the prices way up and then they wonder why locals don't want them there.

Businessmen have been going to Medellin since 2102. I got there in 2008 and bought my first farm and penthouse. Medellin was so much better back then before all the tourist arrived. Colombians are very warm and friendly, tourist not so much.

@@AKJoel In the jungle in Quindio with the monkeys is what I prefer. Expats in Medellin now of days are just rude dimwits. If you guys are watching try looking someone in the eye and saying hello when you pass them or go back to the states.

Thanks Joel, nice to see some high quality developments being constructed. Medellin will benefit as more Westerners looking for quality residences will arrive there. Hopefully there will be a low density of air BNB as more settled foreigners purchasing long term residences for living will be good for Medellin's economy.
