We have a very large shadow economy. Real incomes of the population are much higher than what GDP per capita reflects. Simply because people here don't like taxes. Taxes here are high.

That's why uz is so industrialized and so many State owned enterprises are privatising...also55% of GDP comes from SMEs. UZ is ridiculously developed for a "2000 USD GDP per capita"
