I as a Marine support member off the USS Nimitz know the capabilities of support activities of this style of war group. Proud I served and glad I learned its capabilities. During my civilian career always worked to see these marines and sailors got the best American production could supply.

If you are a Navy vet you see/hear a lot of wrong information. The scenes of the ships leaving Norfolk was not filmed at Norfolk. You basically push back in to the channel and then are headed straight for open water. There is not much land around you like you see in the video. The descriptions of the flight deck float coat colors was iffy at best. Just too much bad or poor information in this.

A good presentation. Aircraft carrier Group is a complex fleet combination. The presenter tried to share all aspects of the formation of the group. It is well coordinated clip. It projects why the US is a heavy weight player in war games.

I am always amazed at the amount of surface rust on USN ships. It does not take much to have pride in having their own ships to look perfect. There is no reason for it, as they left port rusty. This would not be allowed to happen in a lot of other navies.

To Ward Carroll, my two favorite aircraft; Tiger Moth; YO-3A (US Army) First stealth aircraft that the Army had in Vietnam. I flew this plane in combat for seven months log over 1300 hours. NO aircraft was shot down; in my seven months in the YO-3A not one bullet hole was ever found. The highest I ever flew was 2500 feet. Most of the time was 650feet-750.feet at night.

Like I said in another video, I really hope that you government is working on project to give your sailors (and more generaly your soldiers) the équipement they deserves. Because I'm pretty sure that in the near futur we will need UK, Germany, and France to be at the top of their game! I'm very woŕried about the international situation. When the clip showing the Harry S. Truman heading out to sea from NAVSTA Norfolk starts it is from the pier there and then shows Truman leaving the Norfolk Naval Shipyard up the Elizabeth River to the Chesapeake Bay.I tend to question the rest of the videos validity.

With US Navy's formidable fleet composed of a Aircraft carrier and numerous war ships of different types plus of course underwater submarines, I, for one, feel safe at all time knowing for a fact that there is onhand assurance that no other warrior groups will attempt to challenge such truly and absolutely, in my own opinion and assessment, is undefeatable. Just my personal humble thoughts.

I heard it's so fast that when they tried to measure the top speed, the first sailor ran out of the knotted line before the second sailor's 30 second sandglass had finished even the first cycle. So, it was impossible to calculate the exact top speed, as it was over the scale. Although some say the line was caught by the screw, but that's just nasty bad-mouthing.

At 6:17 what is that vessel and what is that spinning device? I don’t think that is mentioned anywhere as part of the strike group. That spinning thing must be an anti-missile radar. I can not identify that vessel. That ship cutting to port is not mentioned elsewhere in this documentary. I can barely make out a 71 on the hull. Very curious about what that thing is doing while spinning that fast, and being that big. Anyone know?
