Welcome to Day 27 of 30 Days of TWIR. Today is the last day for suggestions; what is selected here will be my subject for Monday the 31st aka Day 30. I want to end on an appropriate note, so please suggest something you think would be an appropriate capstone and explain *why* you think it's an appropriate capstone. I will not necessarily go with the most liked one, if I think that another suggestion will make for a better ending to this whole thing, but I will go with something that is suggested and obviously use popularity as a metric if I’m torn between options. The next two reviews are the game are the film The Plague Dogs and the graphic novel Asterios Polyp. The full schedule is available here: theweekireview.com/events/month/2022-01/ Thanks for doing this with me, y’all.

I am going to - for the last time, I guess - recommend season 1 of the tv show Review featuring Andy Daly from Comedy Central. It would be an excellent show to review because it is a tv show about a “Life Critic” whose job is to review whatever his audience tells him to. It is both an excellent show, and the perfect cap to this experiment where The Week I Review does the same thing. It’s a dark, funny show with much of the sensibility of my favourite British comedies, though it’s American. And even though the format is an import from Australia, that doesn’t ruin it this time. All-in-all, it’s a good show that not a lot of people have ever seen and it’s a perfect capstone to this crazy experimental month. I’ll conclude my giving my rating for this experiment in the same way the main character does on Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

I absolutely love Inside No 9, and I believe the episode "The 12 Days Of Christine" to be the greatest half hour of telly I have ever seen.

I’m suggesting the 2017 film Paddington 2. This film is a wonderful heartwarming and truly lovely film. This will be light non depressing way to end a month of reviews. Let’s give Alec something that isn’t dystopian or bleak to end the month. Also there is Hugh Grant as a villain! What’s not to like!

Thank you for discussing this show. Inside No.9 is really one of the best TV shows of recent years. Do continue watching the shows as there are many great episodes in later series..Some like 'Cold Comfort' 'The devil of Christmas', 'Zanizibar', 'Once Removed' and Wuthering Heist' are incredibly creative in how they tell their stories and there are other standout episodes like 'Riddle of the Sphinx', 'Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room' and 'Lip Service' amongst others . Some later episodes are more drama than comedy and there are even a few where no one dies!

For your last review, i think you should do Bo Burnham vs. Jeff Bezos - Video Essay by CJ the X, its over two hours long, But i think it would be appropriate after a month of hot takes, usually short, to review/analyze/just watch a 2 hour review of a 56 second song

I am suggesting the experience of prolonged eye contact on NYC public transportation. Okay, seriously though, this is a really good review. I hadn't quite thought about the two episodes as "the extremes" before but, yeah, that's really accurate - every season features at least one or two "silly" episodes while also having plenty of room for the darker Sardines-style episodes. Personally I'm more attracted to the latter, but the format is, as you said, very open and honestly genius.

Recommand comedy centrals "review" that is meta on a reviewer, of every like experience, and its good dark humor. And absurdist, but also realistic?! I care surprising much about andy dalys character and the rabbitholes he goes. Season one should still be on youtube, And its , it would be very meta. There is the autralian different themed original and season 2. But season 1 is within that timelimit. And has a conclusion too.

I suggest checking out Orson Welles's final film, 'The Other Side of the Wind' as well as it's companion documentary 'They'll Love Me When I'm Dead' on Netflix. An ambitious piece of filmmaking that's both I intentionally and unintentionally meta about the death of old Hollywood and the new age of filmmaking of the late 60s-70s. There was a lot of talk about the film when it was announced that Netflix would be releasing the film since it's been in production hell for nearly 40 years but not much since it's been released. It's a shame really because I personally think it's his best film and nothing like anything else from his filmography and needs more eyes on it

I suggest the meta choice, review the other 29 of your videos/the whole experience of making this 30 video extravaganza, it may be a little self cantered but admittedly this channel has always been a little self cantered, so it’s not out of character

I'm actually going to do a live stream next weekend when I watch and react to the entire month.

for your final act i suggest you review the anthropocene reviewed by john green, ending the 30 day challenge with a look at why “reviews” even matter. i’d imagine it would raise a lot of questions and reflection given the context of this series, and even allow you (like green) to assign your own personal experience with an arbitrary rating. also aside from a happy ending it would give you the chance to explore and review something that you’re already familiar with (and i assume a fan of, seeing its place in the background) :)

I think a good idea would be a re-review of something you have already spoken about but maybe changed your mind on over the 150 episodes. Or a review of this month and the project.

"And when creation goes to die You can find me in the sky Upon the last day And you will be okay" Helluva Boss Season 1 is an independent, animated, occasionally musical series about love, death, robots, hell, and being super gay. It's such a beautiful, darkly hilarious, and interesting passion project. Also like... it would net you a decent amount of views.

Most British humor circles around people who hate each other having to interact and I'm not sure if that says anything about the collective. lol
