Just went to the website, thanks for the suggestion! Been dealing with this for 5 weeks, in an AirCast boot and it was getting better and now it feels worse. So frustrating!

The tendon pain is a symptom of the tightness of the muscle attached to the tendon. The muscle is on the outside of the shin bone and it you press on it and it is sore then this muscle needs to be released - myofascial release. Releasing this tight muscle will significantly reduce the tension on the tendon. Also wear the arch supports. Plenty of videos on KZbin for releasing this muscle.

Hello man, it’s been 5.5 weeks since my grade 2 sprain, last 2 weeks I ve been working on my range of motions by light exercises and the range is 85%, I also started walking in a brace recently but I feel pain on the inside of the foot, although I twisted my leg outwards. My question is - wtf is this? Why it hurts on the inside if it’s not there the injury was? Can it be just the fact that my ligaments lost their “mobility” in my 1 month of resting and now that I walk, I just “overwork” them? Like they are not in shape and that’s why it hurts. What should I do? Just continue walking and it will go always by itself? Since by all predictions I should be fine after that time, my x-ray is clean. I’m 19, so it’s not age related issue. What massage can I do?

I drive truck and I am sitting most of the day. But when I stand up to walk the upper inside of my arch feels line they are bruised. It's been like this for months.

I have pain on the side of foot right where you say that muscle attaches. It is very tender to touch but I do not have pain up either side of the ankle. When walking the pain sometimes goes up over the top of foot in arch area, maybe into the upper part of big toe. Someone below said this is due to a muscle on the outside of shin. You are showing the inside of foot and inside of ankle. So, I'm confused. Do I need to do release on this muscle on the outside of shin? It not, what areas do I need to release fascia if that is an issue with this PTT?

This is the right spot on my foot that hurts. I stopped running for 3-4 months and got back to it. The last time I remember running was at work :/

Can someone tell me what i have? Usually when i workout, i feel a big crampy pain in my inner right foot. When i look what is happening over there i see that a vein is popping out and is clearly visuable.

Be aware! The moon boot gave me this condition. I had an avulsion to cuboid and now this as walking with moon boot put my flat foot in the worst situation than ever. Get MRI asap as well.

How do you feel about ankle braces? Also I feels like it's clicking and popping too. I have had pain and swelling for a year now and it hasn't healed with ice and an ankle brace. Could it be because I am working on my feet everyday?

I have the same problem. Had it for more than 2 years. Comes and goes(mild to severe) Swollen exactly at the tendon insertion and I hear click sounds when I wiggle my toes.

There is no selection under the Shoe List for INSIDE OF YOUR FEET AND ANKLE PAIN. Is it that I should be looking for Foot Rocker shoes?

what if its swelling? how can I reduce the pain? can I use hot or cold compress

Cold usually helps more for swelling, but there are a lot of causes for swelling. You should see a podiatrist and get an accurate diagnosis for the best treatment.

I have pain in that exact area, but it was caused by trying to stop a soccer ball and by foot going backwards. Do you know what thismight be? THe pain is mostly next to my inner ankle bone.

Could be a lot of things. A bruise, a fracture, tendonitis. You should get it checked out by a good podiatrist. In the meantime just giving it a chance to rest can help all of these problems. Thanks! The pain has gone down significantly but its still there but when I run or do any activity it becomes worse. its been about 5 weeks since I first hurt it.

I have the same exact problem. It has been 6 months now. I have tried inserts, compression socks and anti inflammatory medicine. Although the pain has gone down, it is still subtly there. I can't rely on my foot to be 100% pain free during exercise anymore and that is incredibly frustrating.

Ive had this pain for months. I wear a walking boot at work because I'm on my feet for 8hrs. I've been in the boot for 6 weeks.And it STILL hurts. I have flat feet. Sadly I don't go the Orthopedics for another 2 weeks.
