Inside of the Honda Secret Museum *Part 2 'not so secret anymore'

You can now visit Honda's private collection hall in Southern California! This was once a secret museum but the secret is out and Honda wants to share it with Honda fans worldwide. Watch the video as I explain how you can visit for free. This is my 2nd time filming inside and this time I have a tour guide that tells us some awesome Honda stories from the past, most I had not ever heard. Did you know that Acura was once called Channel 2? the Acura logo was manufactured incorrectly, Honda has the best selling vehicle in the world? I agree with you. Been driving Hondas the last 27 years, and I'm sad for it's current quality state. I'm still driving my 2012 Fit and will drive it as long as it runs casue it's still a solid NA set up and manual transmission, but today's Hondas, between the oil dilution issues with their turbo engines and the general shortened reliability lifespan of those turbocharged motors(not opinion, fact based on physics. No way a turbocharged engine lasts as long without requiring serious repairs as a NA motor, due to the much higher compression and strain on the engine from turbocharging) Honda is not inspiring confidence in me. Hell I just bought a Toyota Sienna as our family vehicle because of the reduced quality of the Odyssey over the years. My friends who have bought them regret it, because they haven't lived up to Honda's previous quality and reliability history.

My mom taught me how to drive on a 75 Orange Honda CVVC and later on I took her 81 Civic Station Wagon when my Datsun 280Z blew up. Owned Honda's ever since.

@@michaeldavidmontalvo2402 Well first off, I'm not from the states, I bet finding any type of Honda is easy for you. I'm from Guam so finding an RSX is just as hard as finding a an EG or EK hatch which I'd rather have. I learn to appreciate what I have instead of criticize what I wish I had.

That red S2000, white what looks to be a early 90's Integra (behind Accord wagon) and the red 94 Accord coupe. If I had to pick my all time favorite Honda, it would be 2. The early 90's Accord and the S2000.

Crazy! I got about 150 vintage OEM New Old Stock pre 93 Honda accessories. I started listing them on eBay and this place in Torrence kept buying them. Now I know where they were going. I'm glad they were put to good use.

@@funfam9529 No, I believe this place started following me on eBay and they were buying everything as soon I was listing. I got all the accessories from a really old dealer. The owner just want to get rid of all the old stuff to make room for new stuff because it wasn't selling. Little did he know that all this vintage NOS stuff is getting expensive now.

He’s missing 2 iconic cars. The 92-93 acura integra GS-R (DB2) and the 94-01 Acura Integra GS-R. Those would go nicely with the ITR. Definitely needs a DB2 GS-R in there though. That car was first to introduce DOHC VTEC b series engines to the United States and only so many were made.

I still miss my 89 Civic Si, my first car. The rust just ate away at it, far to expensive for me as a young guy to justify spending that kind of money for massive body work. Moved on to a 94 Civic Si coupe and now own a 12 Fit Sport, that very much reminds me of my first car in how it drives and is fun to toss around while staying within legal limits!

What money? Get some DVD's on welding lessons, rent a welder from a tool rental company, and buy some raw sheetmetal at the hardware store and away you go. The rental charges on the welder will be your only major expense.

I think they should add some of the 10th gen Accords and Civics (for the first use of Turbos in a Honda) Also, should add the 8th and 9th gen Civic Si's as well...Even the First Gen Acura RDX (with the first Turbo engine for an American sold Honda (Acura)!)
