Daneger....you should always empty the black water first...then close it back up...and then empty your grey water. The grey water helps to flush out any black water that might stay in the hose. Love you guys and enjoy your videos. ❤️
@DanegerAndStacey3 жыл бұрын
Not on the campers we've been in, Robin. The black and grey aren't connected at all - the black is literally just a straight drop into the container and the grey is all plumbed in 😀 Loving your enthusiasm for clearing away all the 'yuck stuff' though haha! - Dane

Oo guys ur not supposed to drive with the gas on. You want to switch to auto mode(if it has it) or battery mode while driving and shut off the gas. Some has auto shut offs, but that will stop the fridge working anyways. Good vid! Also above the stereo the fiats have a phone/tablet holder to use for gps 🙂🙂

I don't know if it is a visual effect, but it truly looks massive inside that camper. That bathroom looks like the size of my apartment bathroom in college! And that is all on wheels?! Amazing! Looks big enough to transport a whole family! 😎🚃🛣

Apart from the power socket shortage (which Dane's hack overcomes) that is a fantastic camper van! Your phone sat nav is probably better than most "built in" nav systems, so not having that included in the van spec is not a problem :)

I love the idea of a campervan, having your home with you everywhere, not needing to pack and unpack, but it's the roads that have always put me off. The best places for Campervanning in the UK are always down narrow country lanes and the idea of such a big vehicle is overwhelming. In NZ, do you get the tiny roads like we do in Cornwall/wilds of Scotland or are they better suited for an RV?
@DanegerAndStacey3 жыл бұрын
We can completely understand that, some of the roads we've driven in the UK feel like they could barely fit a Mini through, let alone a giant campervan! The roads here in NZ are definitely wider but they are full of twists and turns. We might be a bit biased though because we've grown up on these roads so they feel pretty normal to us.

Hi guys! Envious of your van life right now! This might not be the best place to ask this question, but would you mind if I asked about your drone and flying it around NZ? What kind of rules/regulations are there when it comes to drone use? I know that most of the national parks prohibit use, but what about just light, general use? Can you stop by the side of the road to take a cool shot, or take it with you on a hike, etc? When borders open back up, NZ is one of our first places to travel, and I was planning on bringing a DJI Mavic Mini with me, just to get some cool shots here and there. Nothing serious. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
@DanegerAndStacey3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jennifer, it's becoming increasingly difficult to fly a drone in NZ. We often use stock footage or footage supplied to us by RTOs to avoid making any mistakes. It's a hard question to answer because it varies depending on where you are. We would recommend figuring out where you want to fly and doing a Google search for that specific area to see if drones are prohibited or not. Sorry we can't be more helpful but we'd hate to give you the wrong advice on this one.

It's definitely cool and it'sa great option to rent, however I wouldn't spend $150,000 on it when I could put that money into a bespoke camper conversion because I would want to be able to tailor it to my own preferences and needs (like plenty of power points 😂)
