Hi Kristy. I just came across your channel and this was the second video I watched of yours. I loved the love between mother and daughter. You can feel the love for each other. I had no idea she passed away until I wrote you a comment stating how lovely the two of you are. I was appreciating the love because my mom passed away when I was 23 yo and I loved how the two of you interacted. Then I read this comment and it broke my heart. I am truly sorry she passed away. 😢

@VitainFlorida thank you so very much for kind words! I’m so sorry you lost your mom so young! I’m not sure if you have a daughter but that bond is so special! It’s one of those things where you’re so blessed to have it on one end but as you know it’s so hard when it’s suddenly taken away! She taught me so much in this world but she did not teach me how to live without her. I’m doing my best but as you have already gone through it just takes time. My birthday is on Sunday and I still can’t fully appreciate or even want to celebrate with either of my parents! You just feel so alone. But I know they gave us more strength than we ever thought we would have!! Thank you for sharing your story and I love my Glamfam community so much they really got me through these last almost four years in July! She was a big part of my channel and I’m determined make her proud! 🥰 Your words meant so much to me and thank you for bringing a smile to my face this birthday weekend!! Hope you’re doing good and look forward to chatting with you more!! Big hugs ! ❤️😘🤗

You're so lucky having a mom that would do hairstyles on you. My mom wouldn't touch my hair, so it was Dad who would have to brush my hair when I was a kid. And Dad, well, he tried. He did his best. Now as an adult, I've taught myself how to do hairstyles and braids (thanks KZbin!) and do these styles on my 7 year old daughter- this is one of our favorites.

Thank you so much for this!! ❤❤❤

Hi Alexis!!! No doubt you will have this mastered and your baby girl is so lucky to have an awesome mommy! If you can tag me on IG when you do it I would love to see your precious girl! This comment brought tears to my eyes! I unfortunately lost my precious mom and best friend unexpectedly in July of 2019. She would read these comments and just smile so big and it just makes me so incredibly happy to see that they just keep living on and I know she’s smiling down in Heaven!!! I’m literally crying writing this because everyday she would go and see how many views she would get! She would have flipped if she saw it hit 1 million. She was so incredibly talented!!! She was doing that same braid and many more when I was your daughters age so it’s crazy because I’m about to turn 45 and it’s crazy how popular these braids are now. It’s because of my mom I started my channel and now I am bound and determined to make her proud and grow my channel! Thank you so much for this comment because it makes me smile so big even though my heart hurts so badly. ❤️🥰🙏🏻

Can't believe we are almost at a million views. I woke up this morning to a nightmare and have been falling apart all morning missing my mom. I decided to go back and watch some videos of this beautiful angel and I can't thank you all enough for watching, liking and commenting on this video! For those who are not aware, I lost my mom unexpectedly and out of no where July of 2019. My worst nightmare come true and my life has and will never be the same without my best friend. I'm so grateful that we have our videos to go back and watch. I did release a video after she passed that you can watch. I will link it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZDVZ6t6rdKDhqM It's extremely emotional but if you've ever lost a loved one you will understand. We started my KZbin channel together and had so many videos we were prepping a couple days before she died but were never able to film. I will never give up on this journey her and I decided to create together. She taught me everything she was blessed with and I plan on continuing making the best videos I can. I don't have children to keep living for, but I do have a baby (my channel) her and I started together and that's the one thing that keeps me going after losing her. If you watch my video of her passing you will understand that bond we shared which was beyond mother and daughter! Thank you with all my heart to everyone who has liked, shared and watch this video! She use to check the progress of this video every morning on her iPad, when we would sit and have coffee (we lived together) and would say OMG we have a 100 views and then the count kept going fast but never in a million years did we think we would get to a million in 2021! And yes...she would read all the comments good and bad. I know she's beaming in heaven! My goal is to reach a million by the anniversary of her passing so hopefully this will pick some speed by July 12, 2021!!! Love you all so much! ❤️🙏🏻 Never thought I could even breathe without my mom. She taught me everything, but she never taught me how to live without her! 😥

Kristi Allure Oh I’m so sorry to hear about both of your losses. I lost my fiancé a couple years ago. He was only 36. Besides him, my mom is my other rock and best friend and I can’t even imagine what you both must be going through. Grief is like nothing else. For me it was the most agonizing and brutal pain I’d ever known while somehow being the most beautiful and sacred transformation at the same time. There’s one thing I know for certain and that is that our loved ones never really leave us. They might not be here physically anymore, but they are with us-just in a different way. Love is so powerful and while it’s true that the bigger the love, the more devastating the loss, it’s also true that stronger the love, the stronger the bond that connects you. The stronger the bond, the stronger their presence in your life. Sending you both healing. Be kind to yourselves. 💗

Awe thank you so much Elizabeth!!! My mom would’ve loved to have been able to read this comment! She would always ask me what did they say!!! She was indeed a goddess in her craft! It completely changed my life forever and I’m still in shock and grief is beyond! She was my best friend, we lived together till the day god took her home and I never in a million years thought I could even breathe without her! She was my soulmate, my other half and we spent every second of the day together! I started my channel with her so they only thing keeping me going is following out this dream her and I had and not letting her down! Absolutely loved your mom's instructions for doing the braid headband. I have naturally curly, and very frizzy hair. While I plan to be in Florida next year, I would love to be able to wear my hair in a high ponytail that is braided, but I would absolutely love to be able to do the braid headband all the way around the head and hide the beginning/end. Would you and your mom be able to show something like I've described. I'm about your mom's age and have very long hair. Braiding my hair is really the only way to keep it neat looking in hot & humid weather. Thanks so much.

I have never been able to do french braids (that looked semi decent, it'll be either loped sided or just weird looking) until I watched your mama explain and gave her easier tips on how to do it. (The thump tip😍) I've watched a few videos of other ppl, about different kinds of braids and I'm not that great at them. I'm a tomboy, but I have a 8 year old that's a girly girl, for a daughter. So, I've been trying to learn new hairstyles that she likes. I wish she would have a channel bc the lil things she says (like the add hair to your thumb when french braiding, helped me alot), makes it easier to do/understand. Does she do anymore hairstyles on your videos?? 😍😍😍😍

This video makes me happy. Your mom was amazing! When you blurted out, "That's what she said" and your mom totally ignored you? I chortled. My mom was the same way - she would ignore my shenanigans 😆

Awe thank you so much. My mom was so incredibly talented. I unfortunately lost my mom unexpectedly two years ago and it's been devastating to watch these videos but I'm so happy we have these memories. We were prepping to film a new one the day before she just passed out of nowhere so it's been extremely difficult. I love getting new comments on this video because she would check to see what everyone was saying. Thank you so much as these comments mean so much to me! And yes you are correct lol this is nearly impossible to do on yourself lol! 😘❤️

My daughter has nearly afro curly hair, very long and incredibly thick. She has a fabulous head of hair but very difficult to braid - it's like velcro when pulling the strands through. Should I blow it out straight b4 attempting this hairstyle? Thanks!

Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! My mom would always blow it out when I had super curly hair when I was younger and she said it was a lot smoother and easier so I would definitely blow it out first and that should definitely help! But you will want to use some sort of mousse to get the grip and braid snug enough to stay for a few days. A dry shampoo foam as she mentioned in this video is probably best because obviously you don’t want to wet it as it will get curly again. We use to love the ouai dry shampoo foam but they don’t make it anymore so this is the next best thing from bumble and bumble go.magik.ly/ml/1waz7 and it will give you a grip to braid once it’s smooth. Just use minimal amount and only on the section you’re braiding focusing on the scalp to the mid shaft of the hair to help you get that braid snug and tight enough. That should really help. If you try it wet again you could take any mouse and ogx dry oil which I love go.magik.ly/ml/1jbua/ and my mom swore by mixed together and that might help her through her thick curly hair but try the smoothing option first. Make sure of you do try it wet again that you get it when it’s really really wet still. That will make the hair more pliable esp with that oil. She also swore by AG firewall go.magik.ly/ml/1tsfo/ and I still use those two oils every time I do my hair because it’s so frizzy and it really cuts my blow dry and straightening time down a lot!! Hope that helps!!! Let me know how it goes please! If you haven’t seen my Dyson Airstrait video check this out and it’s the most AMAZING tool I ever bought!!! It is a miracle for curly hair!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ7Op4lmhdNqfaMsi=doEhnlveZr5R6pk0 Keep me posted ❤️😘
