Thank you for this very insightful video. I have no PBX experience, but recently interviewed and got hired for this exact position. I do however, have over 20 years in customer service/call center support so this helped with me being chosen for this position. I start in 2 weeks and am so excited!

@@sabrinavallejo9111 I absolutely LOVE it! I score 97-100% on my monthly calls each month. I’ve been working as a PBX Operator at a level 1 trauma hospital for 4 months and it’s the best job I’ve ever had.

The PBX at my previous job just watched Netflix on the job while occasionally making an announcement.

I am a PBX operator in North Charleston SC--over night shift. I don't know how many times I get callers from the outside, that launch into their symptoms. I may have to interrupt and say: "Let me transfer you to..."

Our hospital uses Cisco Finesse and Jabber, all done from a Windows 10 Computer, makes it so much easier for our operators.

Where I work I used to operate a switchboard just like these. About five years ago we switched to the board being on the PC. I actually miss my physical switchboard.

Dedicated equipment and switchboards are usually more efficient because there are fewer key-presses needed to complete a call.

I hear an APC with an unhappy battery background :) Sounds like these ladies enjoy their work, and take it seriously.

I know I’m responding to your message years later, but I recently was offered $24 per hour based off of my previous call center experience. I start in 2 weeks.
