Depends on your piority. If you want to preserve wealth, definitely is age. For me, I will prefer to stay in the same neighbourhood where I am currently staying, so location for me.

I really like how upfront Stacked Homes is about sharing the potential negative points of a house. Sets themselves apart from other property agencies. Their presentation is always very relaxed and chilled, instead of being pushy or politically correct. Juliana is also a wonderful host, articulate and engaging. Thumbs up 😀👍

you can't compare a Real estate video to Stacked Home. Stacked Home present the home in its entirety such as pros and cons. Real estate video are sugar-coated to upsell the value and its for potential buyer to go dig up yourself.

The reno feature that surprised me this ep would be the bathroom. The full wall mirror and glass panel combo is something I’ve never seen done in a hdb. Not sure about the practicality 🤔 as the mirror would be a pain to clean. And after showering it would fog up anyway… But the washing machine tucked under the bathroom counter on the other side is a nice touch, good use of space. It’s definitely super noisy with that busy road so near. The only real way to curb this is to close shut all windows. Change windows to double/ triple glazed for further noise reduction. I live in a mid floor flat that is near a small road… traffic is low but I still found the noise rather unbearable (with windows opened) during peak hours. But I guess we can’t really avoid this aspect of city living. Closing all windows and cutting off the ventilation in Sg is really not an option unless you switch on the aircon 24/7…. I guess noise is quite a deal breaker for me, something that I will prioritise for my future home search.

Juliana does a great job but somehow to me it’s a very polished property presentation. Reuben on the other hand gives me a very neutral review and critique on the whole location/property, which drew to me Stacked in the first place. Just a personal preference :)

Hi, yes and no. Yes in the sense that it promotes a listing that's actually for sale. No in the sense that it's not the primary focus of the tour. Our usual insider tours cover a wide range of facilities for larger developments, but for this HDB, we thought to add in a unit tour as well given the small grounds. 👌 We try to showcase units as much as possible when we have the opportunity - whether they are for sale or not, given the feedback to see units within the development.

Of cause u don’t hear the noise outside the busy Farrer road ,cause all the windows are tightly close and aircon is on :)
@StackedHomes2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Farrer Road noise is constantly loud. It would not be comfortable for a WFH setting. The point was that it could be quiet if the windows are closed. We've experienced homes where, despite closing the windows, the noise is still there. So this is more for those who are fine with keeping the windows closed most of the time, or for those who are okay with the background road noise 👌
@cherlynkoh852 жыл бұрын
Err to put it bluntly, the noise is cut out when you step into the house only because all the windows are shut tight right
@StackedHomes2 жыл бұрын
Yes that's right. If you do plan to stay along a noisy road, you would need to close your windows. Otherwise, the constant traffic is something you'll need to get used to. But at the very least, this was quiet with the windows closed. We have seen units where poor window insulation results in noise throughout the day and night 👌

@StackedHomes2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's good not to buy one that has too little lease remaining. There'll a point where prices would depreciate quite quickly - you don't want to be the one holding onto a unit at that stage!
