This is an amazing architectural marvel in our beautiful city! As relative newcomers to Charleston, (2008) they have done a terrific job renovating and maintaining this historic home! One correction, though… Whitney said new pools are not allowed to be built in Charleston. And he is glad they are grandfathered. That is not accurate. There are thriving pool companies which install pools all year long. Several historic homes in downtown Charleston have recently installed pools when new owners moved in and renovated. There’s a new club downtown which I’ve heard he’s associated with that has a beautiful new pool! Pools are built all the time in Charleston! So that was a strange detail for him to hang his hat on, in a home with so many lovely details to share. -AMJ

Impossibly beautiful mansion. But couldn't live happily with so very many rooms. Which ones do your mom and you stay in everyday? Looking forward to you finally finding the love of your life, if you haven't already found her. You have so much to offer. Thanks for sharing. The decor is the finest of all the mansions i've seen. Colors, furniture, a warm atmosphere throughout. Very much like your mom. A lady in every sense.

Those pillars are stunning! Whether it's Whitney's home or his mother's, does it matter? Of course he'd inherit anyway because he's the only child! I love that he loves the house that much. This is indeed his home. His mother turned over the home to him before she passes so that he doesn't have to pay high inheritant taxes on the property. It was on the show.

Hello Whitney not a fan of the house it's not my style but wish you the best and can't wait for Southern Charm season 12 to start I believe it's season 12 I've watched since the beginning and wish it was back to having Thomas Ravenel Cameron Jen Jennifer and all the old cast except can do without Ashley who dated Thomas Ravenel. We were so sorry we missed the whole game when you came to Key West which is where we live 6 months out of the year.
