Worked under Steve Ells as CEO at chipotle as a young guy, and i must say its was a great learning experience. Agree i dont think customers really get to take in just the level of detail he put in the business and its culture when he was building it. Because hes a culinary chef by training, he put a lot of the spirit of that into the culture. They have a strong value of doing the right thing and the concept of integrity.

Even CEO's have no loyalty to their companies. So many jump ship when the opportunity arises. I don't understand why a CEO like him who enjoys their job and does a great job, moves on, often with no notice. And they leave with a wonderful severance package and signing bonus at the next company. It doesn't show a good example for the junior employees.
