The figurehead gets the show. The bankroller holds the purse strings. There are more bank rollers out there than grappling figureheads with the right mix of charisma, wit, thick skin, work ethic and actual talent on the mats. Figurehead is in charge.

Lex's talk is so good. He allows the guest to talk and wander about whatever they choose but marks a broad line for the conversation with somewhat vague questions.

at 23:23 when Lex asks Craig "you've never ran a tournament" the expression Craig provides seems like a father doing everything he can to provide for his kids. He doesn't know how it'll turn out but he knows he has to do it.

"They're paid in exposure." That line of reasoning worked back when grappling was new & hot... Like the Grappling quest days... the ADCC Tito Ortiz, Matt Hughes, Shaolin, Marcelinho, Dean Lister (etc etc etc) days. But, since they stopped making an effort to mix styles in (and whatever else), *&* since striking has made it's way back into domination, the event has basically disappeared into the background. Just more reason(s) CGI was the 1st grappling event I looked forward to in literally at least a decade; the event perfectly combined grappling with a battle feel... Entertainment was Pride FC level nice. I really hope Craig keeps it up. But also kinda not.. cuz he's set himself up to no longer be: ¡El~Segundo! ¡¡¡AHHHHH_JA~JA~JA~EEEEE!!! 🎉🎉🤠🎉🎉

Either him or Alex Jones makes the most sense as they both have the cash, both are friends with Craig and it's understandable why either they or Craig doesn't want anyone to know. If both of those are wrong then it's someone from Dubai

How about in 20 years Billionaire Craig Jones buys all the Gordon Ryan DVDs for $3/each so that he can give his old friend/rival King Ryan money for some operation. That would be the ultimate troll. Craig is definitely on pace to be hugely successful and super rich along with all the grapplers. That’s an honorable thing. He truly gets it
