I loved sleeping under the stars when the weather was dry! The moon would come out from behind the clouds & many times I would instantly wake up & see the beautiful sight! Sometimes there would be a corona or halo. One time there was a rainbow in the halo. Though it was probably more like an icebow. My Gr-Gr Grandfather, who was Tuscarora, was adopted by a Cherokee family. I went to Cherokee once to try & find their descendants.

I think that is a nice place for a homeless camp. She can cook, garden, walk to the beach, have a dog, make friends in a community, and be safe living there for five years and even feel happy about it. You can't say that for most homeless in America. She is safe and warm, and the police leave her alone there. I hope she can stay there for as long as she wants. It isn't for us to judge how someone else lives. Some would rather live there than working nonstop to pay rent and not having relationships like the man said. They put community over money. Just because it looks humble, and primitive doesn't mean it is bad. I am glad they still have a patch of land they can live on. Sometimes they are less happy in an apartment. Neighbors sometimes prey on each other instead of helping each other or even leaving other people alone. It can be very stressful.

In a sense, I suppose it isn't too dissimilar from how people lived before the arrival of Europeans or other outsiders. We may look at what they are lacking, from a modern perspective, where we have far different expectations about our general "needs", but they have most actual necessities covered...shelter(of sorts), water, food, etc.. Not having to worry about cold winter months really does take a huge concern out of the picture. Not quite as bad as living under a bridge in New England, in February. They even have some sort of community support structure, which can make a world of difference.

now in fact Mr trumpy bumpy talked about a couple of times last year his solution to the homeless issue is simply to put up internment camps AKA work camps. yeah he wants to pass out billions of dollars to especially police forces but of course the state's counties in municipalities to basically go and unconstitutionally around these people up at gunpoint throw them in the camp and then he talks about an evaluation A stammers around quite a lot especially in his first speech that took place in either late February or perhaps early March of 23 he stammers around a lot when it comes to this evaluation of course he's flying under drugs and alcohol and talking about how if you refuse the quote unquote help then you go straight to jail and of course then we don't know what happens to them but I would say that the help is actually more like if you refuse work because these camps will be set up is nothing more than a free if not cheap labor stockade for any given corporation in the vicinity so if you refuse to basically go work for slave wages then they would assume to put you in jail except we don't know what kind of jail this is literally what the man proposed twice last year and of course it's all under the guise of cleaning up the streets. so basically his solution is to blow billions of dollars to build out this prison camp infrastructure that we know will eventually be sold to corporations much like most of the federal prisons are controlled by corporations and of course not only to spend the billions on that project but what is also included is to buy off the police forces while at the same time efforts to federalize even your local police forces this is what they're willing to spend money on we can't house our feed people because somehow we don't have the billions of dollars but then we conveniently have the billions of dollars when it comes to just playing imprisoning people.

@mohamedkhogali47378 сағат бұрын
Shipping to Hawaii can not be more expensive than shipping from China. The theory of shipping should be debunked by all means, because there are so many faraway countries that ship stuff from the USA but they still have a healthy per capita income. When a teacher, a banker, and people who have a college degree can not afford to rent then something must be wrong with the economic system.

That camp would be a nice rustic tropical village if it wasn't for the blatant, out of control hoarding. Even in poverty, the American consumer's disease has a strong hold here. There's money in all that scrap if collection for cash could be organised. This place, contrary to your companion's belief, is nothing like overseas. Folk living simple village life overseas would be pretty shocked to see the setup here. It's a mess. Overseas, rustic tropical villages are tidy and swept clean. The folk overseas don't hoard. They collect and sell. An enterprising resident could start a scrap redemption business here to clean the place up and make some money. Every village has a resident scrap merchant overseas. This camp is a showcase for consumer folly. Senseless consumption probably got these residents broke in the first place and now they can't stop collecting and hoarding senselessly. Some individual camps were tidier than others, they're trying and probably pretty content. A rich person is a person without bills to pay. This village could be really nice. Location, location, location... Simple shelter is fine in the tropics.

Omg I adore her. When she said her family was from Okinawa, I smiled. Okinawa is a beautiful place and the people are amazing. If I visit Oahu, I’ll definitely drop off some donations. ( I grew up on the windward side so I kinda get it. It’s expensive as hell in Hawaii but that’s her home ❤) Thanks Nick for being so respectful

Really great interview guy's. Rural senior Hawaiians' need access to stores, food, what good is a house if your isolated? Community is everything when gentrification is decades old. Happening where I live outside Sedona Az. for a decade now. Beautiful places, sacred lands, mountains, oceans, canyons, rivers, suddenly became exclusive to gated communities, amongst tourism, art galleries, unique dining, resorts, hidden gems, wealthy residents, and the working people, elders, children, in natural fragile environments'. Tiny homes, solar, a MUST for sustainability.

I kind of envy them. Plenty of cats around. Not many rats or mice around there I bet. Can NYC say the same? Better weather too. ..

Goes to show, people shouldn't rely on the government for anything. They will take your tax dollars and send it elsewhere while you live scavenging like a rat. We, the people, need to build a better community and help each other as it was originally intended. The government was never meant to be this bloated, nor was it ever meant for us to rely on completely.,

It looks pretty well organized. It’s an American Favela. Supposedly, we don’t have any, but check out every city, especially in Dem. states.

In my area if you give a homeless person, nine dollars worth of McDonald’s they throw it in your face. They are dope sick. They wanted the money for a fix.

They are living in peace and not being kicked off or relocated. They may enjoy the off grid living and detachment from the system.

I was surprised this past summer how much the Big Island had been cleaned up since the pandemic. No more homeless people in the streets and beaches. It was terrible in 2007. Glad they have something like this in Oahu.

yeah do you have any idea what happens to this people even though you probably don't care? basically what happens is most of the time is your local government police force etc will dial up the salvation army and other assorted charities and what happens is is those people are basically thrown on buses and ship to another town now in the case of Hawaii they're most likely put on a boat and shipped to California or some other area That's literally what happens but specifically on the mainland I can tell you that yeah you'll get an influx of homeless that it will just randomly appear and they'll generally hang out around the local salvation army building then they'll start to spread out throughout the city and then that might go on for like a couple years etc etc and then one fine day they all disappear that's because they moved them out they generally don't have a choice.
