Can't help but compare this to the fiasco of Fyre Festival back in 2017 ... the opposite in just about every way!!!! Another Aussie making us proud!!!!!
@amelia_k10822 жыл бұрын
Yes, nothing like Fyre Festival and yet everything like it was supposed to be! That concert ended up being an insult to the entire music industry. There used to be a documentary on Netflix about that fiasco, was certainly interesting to say the least! This Aussie guy def got it right!

I've always wanted to go this festival. Roadtrips are so fun. But didn't know this started with a marathon fundraiser. Wow, such a great story.

Interesting that it wasn't mentioned that they're not just doing the Birdsville Big Red Bash anymore, they've expanded and started doing the Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash as well - which is a little more accessible for many people that can't make it to the Big Red.
@theStevenPowell Жыл бұрын
what do u mean? They are still doing the Big Red Bash. Where did you hear that from?
@grandmothergoose Жыл бұрын
@@theStevenPowell I'll rephrase. They're not ONLY doing the big red bash anymore, they've expanded... there's now two of them. The big red, and the mundi mundi.

Oh look: Burning Man. Who'd have thought that doing what Burning Man had been doing since 1991 would be a proven business plan?
@bev97082 жыл бұрын
Black Rock Desert is 100 miles from Reno, a city of about 300,000 people and a major tourist destination with intense transport infrastructure, in a state of well over 3 million in a country of well over 330 million!! Birdsville is 450 miles from Mt Isa, a town of about 19,000 people or 1000 miles from Brisbane, a city of 2.6 million, in a country of almost 26 million people! So your "proven business plan" sarcasm does seem kinda ignorant!!

@@bev9708 I've seen Burning Man leave a lot of garbage behind when they're done...I don't believe that's happening at this Festival or the Indigenous man who owns it would shut it down.
@williamchamberlain22632 жыл бұрын
@@bev9708 Reno has a lot of stuff going on, in a state with a lot of stuff going on, in a country with a lot of stuff going on. Australia is pretty quiet so, despite your ignorance of how competition works, there's a large population of people who don't have many alternative outlets to draw on.
