Yeah, the morale for riding around in what's basically a small fortress with a gun everything, including the battlefield itself is afraid of? I'm going to say it would be high. (If it ever reached production.)

If you notice where he was looking when he said and see that it later changes to the camera he was talking to, you'll notice that if at the post production that point of view was used, the chap would be off camera indeed, just showing up briefly at best.

This is my favorite Chieftain's hatch. Namely because the Object 268, to me, is the pinnacle of a mixed "Tank Destroyer/Sturmartillerie" concept that emerged mostly out of the german side in WWII. Ultimately, i think this type of vehicle was abandoned because it does not fit nicely into one role, and because the air force plays the biggest role in direct application of heavy ordinance. Perhaps I'm crazy, but if I were a commander without a significant air force, this is what i would want in its stead: A massive direct-fire gun to support infantry that also brings the biggest gun to the fight in tank warfare.

If the drivers hatch of the Abrams does leak in, then how the heck you are supposed to operate it in contanimated areas? I doubt that tankers would wear gas masks inside the tank.

Overpressure, and yes, we do have masks inside the tank. Tanker gas masks have long hoses instead of the filter can, they plug into the NBC system.

Clearly it’s rather too late to fix, but there’s a bit of a problem with the script for this video: I don’t know what an Object 268 is (apart from “the tank in the picture”), and you sort of forget to say “this was a Soviet tank”! The first hint is mentioning some development in Perm.

These videos are great but it seems more time is spent on track tension than on either the armour or gun.

In the post production that they do for the WoT channel, they probably added a b-roll shot from that viewpoint as he was talking. This is all pre-production, besides the transitions.

You measured it wrong. You used an American tape measure. If you used a Soviet Tape Measure you would have realized they were both the same height. That height also happens to be the same height as you and everyone in the building. Also you would have felt like king of the world until a US designed jet blew you up.

How much did they pay you to talk about what an awesome feeling it would be to ride around in this tank because its so huge while on a RUSSIAN tank? This is the first time i hear anything even remotely like this on this series, so sorry for me pointing it out, but it seems incredibly out of place and just adds to the general suspicion that Wargaming somehow favors russian tanks out of patriotism.
@TheChieftainsHatch10 жыл бұрын
Here's an odd thought. Maybe the huge casemate and massive 152mm double-baffle cannon actually give an awesome feeling? It's not as if I didn't say the same thing for Conqueror, you think they paid me to say good things about British tanks? Link to timestamp 22 seconds. Inside the Chieftain's Hatch: Conqueror Part 4

TheChieftainWoT Great video again:) Nobody cares if it's a Russian tank or not, but it is just a quite big vehicle with a very big gun. I can imagine I'd have the same feeling sitting on so many tons of steel moving
@ColdSiris10 жыл бұрын
you obviously haven't been paying attention. the chief already pointed out where he says something similar with the conqueror so not much left to be said. Besides, if you follow the chief in any other format OTHER than his WoT endeavors he proves time and time again that he loves tanks for the simple fact that they're tanks and some are better than others.
@USSDragonfireNX8410 жыл бұрын
What about when he said that he didn't like the T-34 at all, that is Russia's most famous tank...I think you're reading too much into things, I'm sure if I was sitting on any tough looking tank with a 152mm gun I would feel pretty powerful too, regardless of the nation is belongs to.
@builder39610 жыл бұрын
Nanopizza Videos Still feels out of place. He just isnt thetype to be this kind of airhead who would in the middle of a video just blankly look out the front of a tank and imagine driving it through forests and nostalgically mumble that it would be amazing to do that in this tank.
