Inside the effort to keep the 'local feel' in downtown Oceanside

A local favorite is closing on N. Coast Highway some are worried they may lose the local feel but, MainStreet Oceanside says it has a plan.

This is beyond sad. I had a trip planned and Lil Kims was my top spot to eat again. The sunset market is not going to replace these losses and if Oside doesn't wise up its going to be another cookie cutter coastal city lacking the funky local charm that made it a beloved standout. The mix of sand, sun, quirk and bit of a rough edge is what Oside needs to keep, especially the small businesses like Lil Kims TBG.

I walked into this place no one greeted me no one sat me down a give me a menu I'm glad you are out of buisness I spend a lot of cash in oceanside but I got treated like shit I walked out after I sat myself down and no one acknowledged me after 5 plus minutes after arriving

What a joke...yeah we are providing the college kids a space to come and sell their trinkets and lemonade...college kids aren't investing their life savings on businesses and supporting families...what a joke
