Imagine a filmed and detailed documentary like this showing us the work, life and experiences of the first exploration of this area by James C Ross in the 1840's, in wooden sailing ships with no electronics or communications.

Watching them all maneuvering while the vessel pitches and rolls made me a little home sick from my time in the Navy. The Bering Sea conditions were pretty rough and we'd literally be walking on one wall then the other, as far as 3 feet of the wall bottom and also running down hill then, straining up hill lol, it was so awesome

Nope, there's even a lonely planet on Antarctica. I was talking with a customer of mine in a bar, he lives down the street from me, got to taking about books, so we traded...he brought me a lonely planet.. and then was like, "I cheated... cus I'm one of the authors" he's a climatologistand goes every year.

I think Julie made the right decision about sticking with the ship. I hate to say this but these conversations have to take place with the family members because of the line of work these doctors/scientists etc..do in regards to the study of our world/planet. Any emergency type situation has to be addressed ahead of time. Anyway, these men and women are so admirable in their endeavors to science, and keeping our planet safe! We truly give them all the gratitude they deserve! They truly are heros who dedicate their lives to science in order to help keep our planet safe!
