Inside the escape: Leaked photos show how 4 inmates escaped Ga. jail

More details are coming out about the escape earlier this week at the Bibb County jail, including the staffing during the shift and how the inmates may have escaped.
13WMAZ spoke to several anonymous sources with connections to the jail, including former deputies. They provided photos and information on the jailbreak and what may have happened on Monday morning.
According to sources, a blue Dodge Challenger brought tools to the jail grounds, including power tools that the inmates used to chisel through the window to create enough space for them to escape.
People who saw the damage to the windows say it may have taken more than one night to chisel through.
At this time, 13WMAZ is working to confirm reports on how the inmates received the tools.
One source said that a drone was used to bring the chisel over, and another says that intruders cut through two fences, inmates lowered bedsheets and raised the tools to the second floor.
Multiple sources told us they are not sure how no one inside the jail heard this going on.
"There should've been somebody that heard some tampering, and there's some indications that somebody might have," Sheriff David Davis said during his news conference on Monday.

Staffing problems is not an excuse for allowing four criminals to escape! Those men knew there would be nobody there to catch them even if they were caught climbing out of the window! Now Bibb county and the surrounding areas are at risk because of their negligence! This is ridiculous and if anybody gets hurt or "offed" the Bibb County Sheriff's dept should be held responsible 😡!

I worked in prisons and jails, if you don’t have enough people to guard those areas close them. Inmates can be shipped all over the state, if there was a warden and people who worked directly under him they should be fired for negligence, there first job is to protect the community and with a convicted murderer you can be damn sure he will kill before going back to jail. Smyrna Delaware had a simhilar escape with all four coming from super max, one on death row for murdering many people then killed several people before he was captured. They laughed about the ease of escaping super max, I went over to that area and there were no less than four officers working control and the pod, I’m sure this wasn’t the case that night. The death row inmate was the last prisoner in the United States to die by hanging, that was his choice, he was finally hanged and the noose was finally dismantled for the last time. Another facility I worked was a small jail built in the nineties, fifteen inmates were prepared to leave during a basketball game between pods however a snitch came along and the facility was saved from a horrible situation, let’s just say the snitch got what ever he wanted plus four cartons of cigarettes, he was transferred the same day to a minimum security to finish his sentence which he wasn’t prepared to risk by getting a ten year sentence for escape. So far I worked three escapes with all being captured soon after leaving and I’m sure the Georgia Four as they will be known for training purposes will be captured soon. According to the my research there are only ten inmates in the US who escaped and were never captured including one that escaped from Alcatraz prison. According to my research over five thousand inmates escaped in the year 2000 this would drop to just over 2200 in the year 2019, we’re getting better and if you factor in only ten were never captured, I expect the Georgia Four to be picked up any day now.

Law enforcement is short staffed all over the world. Officers work Extremely long hours and don’t make enough money to make ends meet. Not to mention you have to have very tough skin in order to work there

There is NO way someone did not hear that, and I am sure they didnt break through that window/wall in one shift, SO that being said why didnt a gaurd see it??? Why weren't their cells locked?? sounds like there are some "bad guards" in there since one was fired and arrested for bring them in cell phone and more, SO, did a guess know this was going on and maybe even help??? sounds more then fishy, I guess if you only have 3 people working there "supposibly" at night, I guess those 3 better walk around ALL parts of the jail ALL night long, or better yet LOCK THE CELLS, And further more if you dont have enough guards maybe better close part of it down and either send the inmates to different places or pack them in to the areas that ARE WATCHED, WTF who is going to be responsible if one of these inmate hurts or kills someone???

Reminds me of a story Reginald Johnson (Vegas Casino Robber) was telling once about helping break his brother out of county jail. The brother worked for the jail Chaplin and had access to incoming mail going to the Chaplin. So Reggie hid a carbon cutting blade inside a bible and had a mailed to the Chaplin. This facilitated his brother Donnel being able to cut his way out of the jail and Reggie was waiting for him in a car nearby. They left there and went to Atlantic City to gamble. (Donnel was a degenerate gambler). After Donnel lost all of their money. He said to Reggie. "Let's take it back." And, that my friends, is when they started robbing casinos coast to coast. Along with a whole lot of other places. Reggie ended up being sentenced to 130 years. At sentencing the Judge asked if he had anything to say. He responded: "My only regret is getting caught." I watched him try to strangle his cellmate to death in county jail. Pretty wild!

Hopefully it doesn’t end like the escaped central Texas prisoner a few years ago. Police warned locals to use extra caution. Unfortunately, a grandfather and three grandsons decided it was a great time to visit their family property there. The convict killed all four.
