I love the Nugget. We have stayed here more than a dozen times. Carson tower is usually the cheapest. Rush Tower rooms are the way to go. It's all about the pools. Nice video.

Golden Nugget in Laughlin is much like the one in Downtown Vegas. As far as I’m concerned it’s the best place to stay in Laughlin. 👍🏼

The Golden Nugget has some great restaurants because the casino and most of the restaurants are owned by Landry's. Landry's started as a restaurant and then opened other concepts over the years. Landry's is owned by Tillman Fertita who also happens to be the owner of the Houston Rockets of the NBA.

Stayed at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas this past weekend for EDC. Got the exact same room, same tower, except no fridge, no coffee maker, and no DVD player. Brought an ice chest, so no biggie. Loved the Fremont Street area and the casino itself. Totally worth it IMO.

Only downside is that self parking was basically non existent. Couldn't find a spot in the garage, so I had to valet my car every day at $15 per day. EDC might be to blame for that though 🤷‍♂️

Got married in Vegas stayed at Golden Nugget for a week ...was fantastic place ..the pool and slide was great fun and I think it was called the Carson Street Cafe in the hotel..superb breakfast..all in all highly recommend and this video brought back great memories.

The Golden Nugget is the best casino in Las Vegas. It is a shining example that Vegas doesn't need to implode their history and rebuild to be successful. A big part of the reason The Nugget is so cool is because of it's incredible history. I've been to every casino in Vegas, and always find myself going downtown to Fremont St and ending up at The Nugget...where the poker dealers know my name, even if I haven't been in for months. It really is the last great Vegas casino that is nice, and represents what Vegas used to be. Nice edit Pompsie.

I love to stay at the Golden Nugget. I've stayed at the one in Laughlin Nevada, Atlantic City New Jersey', Biloxi Mississippi, Lake Charles Louisiana, and my favorite Las Vegas. My mom and dad's favorite casino to stay at no matter what state we were in. They all have the best restaurants and great customer service.

Golden nugget is the only place I’ll stay downtown. My profile pic is at their pool!! It is always crowded but I love the fact that they are the only casino downtown that has a poker room and good restaurants to choose from. It was the nicest hotel DT till the Circa came along. I just stayed at the Circa SB weekend and it’s now the place to stay. More expensive but worth it. I still love the Nugget thought!! Love your review keep them coming!!

Thanks for the video. I used to work there in ‘89-90 plus stayed there many times. A little history when Steve Wynn bought this property he remodeled it and used the design as a preamble for the Mirage.

Did not know of Steve Wynn when wife and I stayed at the Golden Nugget in the early 90's. She still wears the nice reversable jacket I bought for her at the GN. It has the Golden Nugget logo on one side and Mirage Logo on the other. We knew the two hotels were linked at that point then in later years learned the story about the amazing things Steve Wynn did in Las Vegas. I'm sure her jacket is a collectors item, Sheri wears it proudly when we go out to eat, or visit Las Vegas & the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles ! The Mirage was brand new at that time.

Car rental in Vegas is cheaper than almost any other big city I have rented a car in and getting around is super easy turn on your GPS and set it to NO Highways/Interstates There are so many places to see around the Valley that I still haven't seen it all and I'm almost 50 and when I go to Vegas normally it's for a week or longer so I can explore! Doing the same thing every time you go is silly when there is so much to experience that your missing! It just makes Vegas even better!

I agree with you 100% about the casino being overcrowded. What with the funky street people ever present wandering in off of Fremont St., I can't say as I felt entirely safe there. Hard to play dice when people keep bumping into you, and what's with the $15 minimum all, the , time? Another great video guy; keep it up!

My wife and I got married in Las Vegas in 2000. Our favorite Golden Nugget memory was seeing the absolutely hilarious Amazing Jonathan there in 2001 or 2002 on one of our yearly Vegas trips. We were very saddened to learn that Jonathan passed away a couple of days ago at the far too young age of 63. A great talent gone too soon. RIP Jonathan Szeles.

Great video as always. Golden Nugget is the only casino I stay when I stay downtown . Never have disappointed me. The food at Vic and Anthony's always great, the Grotto love their gamberi pasta, their strawberry cheesecake the fluffiest ever, and love playing in their quaint poker room. Plus a bonus is it is next to great restaurants like Oscar's, Hugo's Cellar, and Binions steakhouse. I love downtown more than the strip. Since Louisiana is closer to me when I get the urge to go I go to the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles Louisiana.

The Golden Nugget has a tiny craps table in the pool area, so you don't have to choose between going for a swim and doing some gambling. It does have some extra rules to keep people from cheating, since manipulating the dice on such a small table could be a problem. But it's the same otherwise; someone will come to the table to offer cocktails. There is a person guarding the pool door to make sure only hotel guests go to the pool, but if you tell them you are coming to gamble, they might let you in.

Vic & Anthony's is a must for us every time we go to Vegas. Beautiful food, great atmosphere, and the Team there are really attentive. But you do have to leave the restaurant to visit the bathroom which is just weird!

I always feel respected when they let you leave the place to use the restroom, and don't bother following you to make sure you are not skipping out on the check. It's one of those little things I appreciated. By all means, stay at the Nugget and eat at Vic's. You can do better in Vegas, but not by much, and certainly not for the money. Good value.

It was a sad day when Binions eliminated their poker room where the WSOP started. This is a bucket list item checked off, playing poker at Binions with the 'locals' in 2018 not knowing that would be my last chance. I believe you are correct, only GN now has a poker room downtown. Equally sad Planet Hollywood took out their poker room also, more $$$ in slots I guess. Thanks for the review.

Wow, what a timing for you video pompsie. I wanted to book the Nugget since it's my favorite casino experience I had in the 2000' but wasn't sure about the noise in the Rush tower. We were just there this weekend! We stayed outside of downtown but GN was the casino we kept going back to! The bars all had different prices for drinks, so FYI to anyone coming to get good deals. The casino floor on a Friday/Saturday night was CROWDED! It became extremely difficult to navigate through it at certain points. The night club scene was never my thing, so I have no idea for comparison, but their nightclub was a tiny room with a dance floor and a bar. Maybe if it is crowded and energy is flowing it’s fun, but when we went it was dead empty even considering how crowded the casino was. Most table games were $10-15 but we sat at Let it Ride for hours and it was a $5 game even at peak hours. So that was awesome. Overall, I think this was the nicest casino in downtown. We plan to stay there next time. Circa was very nice, but it’s almost ‘too’ nice of that makes sense? It had very little character and felt stale. Plus showing ID every time to go in and out would get annoying.

This is my go to place downtown. Usually the Rush Room you have profiled is not the cheapest room to get as the Carson tower is. So not sure if you got an upgrade. I agree on the crowded aspect.
