I'd love to see Drai's under full swing. It looked like the light show would be slammin'! Such a sexy, sultry, romantic hotel! When I was a poker dealer, I hand shuffled 2 royal flushes in 5 minutes once. My floor supervisor couldn't believe it. (we had high hand bonuses in the room I worked). I also had a friend who dealt 2 royal flushes to the same person in about 20 minutes using a n auto shuffler. I'd dealt about 40-50 of them back when I was dealing poker. One of my buddies dealt to you at Caesar's last week.

Big big fan by the way!!! I love the cromwell. So drais is the night club rooftop and after hours is in the basement of the cromwell. After hours is pretty dope, there is a hip hop room and latin room. Drais beach club is the pool party open in the summer. If you go to the club Drais u also access the pool area but no one really enters the pool.

Stayed at the Cromwell Parlour Suite Strip View. Only differences I see is that the tub in the Strip View is a clawfoot tub with a bidet in the master room. Loved the hotel!

This hotel/casino was the Barbary Coast when it was owned by Michael Gaughan/ Coast Hotels. When Boyd Gaming bought Coast Hotels (except for the South Coast, which Michael Gaughan retained and renamed it to the South Point) they kept the name Barbary Coast. Harrah’s (later to be renamed Caesar’s Entertainment after the Harrah’s-Caesar’s merger) owned a parcel of land farther north on the Strip adjacent to the Stardust, a Boyd Gaming property. Boyd Gaming wanted that land in order to combine it with the Stardust land (after imploding the hotel/casino building) to develop a mega resort: the Echelon. So Boyd Gaming did a swap: that parcel of land for the Barbary Coast. Harrah’s (now Caesar’s) renamed it Bill’s Gambling Hall, after Bill Harrah, founder of Harrah’s. Boyd Gaming never completed the Echelon. Construction started, but was halted due to the “Great Recession.” It sat there for a decade before acquired and completed (by the Genting Group of Malaysia) in to Resorts World. Caesar’s eventually remodeled/rebranded Bill’s Gambling Hall in to the Cromwell. That is a very brief (but still complicated) history of this hotel.

The Cromwell has become my Vegas "home", staying there 3 trips now. Got my friends to all stay there on our annual trips too and they love it. We play mostly table games and split up often and we can ALWAYS find each other. I think drink service is super fast and easy and the dealers fun and friendly. I do love the CP poker room (and pool!) across the way too... short walk! We're old so we don't "do" the Cromwell pool. ;) I hit my 2nd ROYAL FLUSH ever on Video Poker at The Cromwell 3 years ago for my 50th birthday.... so another reason I love it! :) CONGRATS to Greta on the live Royal... insane!!!!!!!

Great Review ! I've stayed at that property many times over the years, first when it was the Barbary Coast, and then when it was called Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon, and I always thought it was the best place to stay in Vegas. I could park my car in their lot and be at the front desk in less than 5 minutes. The check in was amazingly quick, and I'd be in my room in less than 5 minutes. The best steak house in Vegas was on site (where Giada's is now) and the little coffee shop was open 24/7 for snacks and sandwiches. I would occasionally wake up at say 3:00 in the morning and be on the casino floor 5 minutes later and it was always mobbed. The place was hopping 24/7. Haven't tried The Cromwell yet, but with that location right smack in the center of the strip, I'm sure it still can't be beat. It's not quiet...ever, but it's the perfect size, the perfect location, and now I see it's gotten seriously fancy !
