Was warned many times not to do videos here. Today I ignore that and I venture Into the most feared Johannesburg Hoods Yeovil and Berea. It was scary at first maybe because of what I heard but I made it. There is So much I witnessed along the way. Is it true that these hoods are dangerous 2023? We here to find out. Share your thoughts if u know something about these hoods.

well that is the first video that made me sad. You were just a block away from where my uncle and aunt lived. It was a lovely quiet suburb. I would be very reluctant to go through there alone. It could be cleaned up and made lovely with so little effort. Amazing how the attitude of the local residents makes such a huge difference. It all just looked as though the people have given up. Berea is a bit better. All in good time I suppose! thanks

It's sad to know that these places used to be the very smart of all times. Just a little turn to the right direction might make a change to these areas. Who knows, maybe to shine once again. I just wonder.

Totally agreed. Govt has abandoned them. Look at the pavement. Where is the municipality in charge here?

Really enjoy all your videos! Just an idea, while walking could you mention what street you're on. Really helps those of us who used to live in those areas.

Is that the famous "Ponte City" towers I see at 13:08? Many documentaries have been made about this building and many scenes in films like "District 9", "Chappie" and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter were filmed there. It's a fascinating building.😀

Yeoville had some concerning areas but I still don't think it looked like a no go area.

Barea is old but still good. Yeoville is not what I saw about 25 years ago. It's now ugly and filthy water running down the street, and filth dumped alongside of the road. Maybe Hillbrow is better now as I watch the video. Thanks so much for touring with us, love it 😊😊😊
