I don't understand this generation of NBA players. Their practices aren't as physical as the practices as before. The game itself is less physical overall. Embiid doesn't even play in the post like that either. Michael Jordan's trainer said there is no substitute for lifting heavy weights to prepare your body physically for the wear and tear. Jordan at the age of 40 played all 82 games in the regular season. Season after season the Bulls made the deepest post season runs and most of them esp Jordan played damn near every game without rest. No PED's either...

This is a crazy idea and I don't know exactly how it can be implemented. How about the NBA creates a policy where if a superstar player sits out a game, the team issues a partial refund to the fans, based on how much the superstar is earning. For example, someone like Curry or Luka might lead to a 25% refund. Someone like LeBron a 30% refund etc. This will force teams to be a little more careful about the contract they offer their superstars.

That’s why you can never ever compare these players today to the older players, they played every game even when they were hurt, it didn’t matter, they played, these players today, they get a hang nail they out half the season and then this bullshit about resting players, this is why the NBA is a joke now

This load management and players not playing hard during the regular season is destroying the NBA brand. David Stern would have never allowed things to have gotten to this point.

are they gonna do both tuesdays and thursdays every week or just this week?
@DoJoStan2 ай бұрын
It's probably just this week since it's the first week of the season. Tuesdays is going to be the other panel Candace Parker, Vince Carter and Shaq

When Chuck and Shaq say you need to be in better shape you probably need to listen
@jamesthompson20922 ай бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that basically say to the rest of your team that your better than them? I'm going to sit and save myself while the rest of you guys work every day?
@blackzero232 ай бұрын
Yes, we get it, basketball is taxing on the body etc.. but you signed up to do this as a job now. And now you have to perform. Not sit out every other game to lower the risk of injury. NBA players are the softest athletes in all of sports.

2:40 THANK YOU SHAQ. People keep forgetting it was a freak accident that would've happened regardless of his condition. Embiid sitting out games will make him careless about avoiding injuries in the first place.

I love the honesty of Shag how you can injurer by just doing that thank you TNT

$3,135,118.17. The amount Embid has made so far from the bench.

The minute this man cried for not being MVP a few years ago... Showed you that he is no role model, will never be a champion and as long as Skip Bayless roots for this man... Philadelphia will never achieve an Eastern conference appearance! Y so serious 😈🥃🃏

I've been a Sixers fan since I was a child. As a young child I even saw Wilt Chamberlain play. Wilt Chamberlain the true goat. I'm having a hard time being a Sixers fan what's Joel embiid on the court. Allen Iverson and Julius Erving were a amazing Sixers to watch.

Embiid is so unreliable. Great talent but mentally he’s not consistent, gets in his feels too easily

I think it's fine, you wanna play em half the games, ok. Charge half price for Sixers tickets, so it's fair for everyone.

We know Embid is hurt. We saw it in the Olympics he was hobbled. They keep talking bout Embid but PG gets let off the hook. He should be getting criticism more. He had a full off season with no Olympics
