You also have to take into a account, its only "temporary" and or deported back again.. and then you are screwed. Our regular homeless /druggie homeless already get simple free benefits(food, free money, low cost housing) and escape criminal behavior .. the thing with our homeless, is they are already used to that behavior and ingrained and druggies as well, people think that they can magically pick up all these "expensive" responsibilities with their limited "mental" capabilities. Its why some don't bother to work; they are already kinda screwed themselves. People can use whatever excuse with the homeless, its not gonna fix itself anytime soon; just because you "house" them.. doesnt mean they'll be able to ACCEPT the responsibility magically. While the illegals/immigrants.. Ill give it to them that for actually working... Thats the big difference. Its why you wont see them homeless. I think what people mistake and are wanting a "socialism" type housing system, which wouldn't work anymore. You can't have both forever, doesnt work like that, its why its always "temporary"

I’m all for people trying to come to this country to make a better life for themselves and/or their families, as long as they’re doing it legally and seeking legal asylum. I would love to stay in the US but I don’t know if I’ll be able to because I’m doing things legally, I get if you are struggling in your country and looking for a better opportunity

Similar topic. We have been talking to a lawyer about moving to the US the last couple of years. We have to do an E2 because of our age, either buy or start a business at a min of $100,000 US or easier if we spend 500k. Prove the business can support us. We can employ locals. Bring money to the local economy ( all which were happy to do.) All money and supplies into the business from the US. But has to be a up and running business before we can apply for the visa and has to be high risk, as in we can be denied and you lose it all. Every cent. Plus 10k for the lawyer and another 3k fee for banking etc set ups. We are happy to do it all, but high risk is scary and it is so hard to do it legit and you watch this. Not to mention the cost also in moving over. But have to see what happens :)
