This is the shit. Airshows are always better when they fly over your head. I have seen this demo many times. This is by far the best angles ever for this show.

I’ve see Tora Tora Tora do their reenactment quite a few times. I’ve always had great respect for them. This brings it to yet another level. Like your previous “behind the scenes” look in, this is absolutely amazing but this one gave me instant goosebumps. I really felt different watching them from this perspective. What a difference 200 yards away makes. I couldn’t even begin to imagine being there that horrific day in 1941.

I’m assuming it’s to help them keep track of each other for their own safety. Wouldn’t make sense for it to actually be part of a re-enactment.

I love this demo for many reasons not just the visuals and sounds but if you just let my mind go and imagine what the men and women went thru on that day you can get a new perspective on how chaotic it must of been with planes strafing targets all around you. Then imagine 100 more planes coming at you it makes you think.

I'm assuming the one T-6 painted in American markings is supposed to simulate a P-40 or P-36 trying to defend the attack?
@AirshowStuffVideos3 жыл бұрын
Yep! Sometimes they use a real P-40 when it is available, sometimes they use this one and call it a P-36 Hawk

@@iananderson7883 Well duh dude. Its the closest we got! Most of these aircraft were used in filming, Final countdown, Midway(the old one) and Pearl harbor(both movies). Make sure to fly your full restored A6M to an airshow. I would love to get a picture beside it. SMH
@iananderson78833 жыл бұрын
@@joshuapemberton6765 What's your point. They sounded and looked like Harvards ( we called them Harvards in Canada. They were license built by a company called Noorduyn better known for the Norseman bush Plane of whicjh a number are still flying to this day ) ) I actually got a chance to fly one a number of years ago as well as a Harvard from the back seat a couple of times as well. I guess these planes were also used in the Baa Baa Black Sheep TV show. The Final Countdown was a really cool movie, "Splash the Zeros."
@joshuapemberton67653 жыл бұрын
@@iananderson7883 ITs the fact that you said, "They didn't look like Zeros". We know that. That was a pointless comment. It was more of a jab at the folks that work hard to create and do a display that has been going on as long as I can remember. I was in the Confederate Air Force back in the 90's and flew in the "Kate". It would be as if I said this about the Snowbirds, "they dont fly like the Red Arrows". That would be piss poor form from me. We know that they are not an A6m and no need to point it out. These guys bust their ass keeping these planes flying with their own money, sweat and tears. A simple nice would have sufficed and move on.

Seen it and many other European best in class European shows, Many times. still the same , gets boring, CAF routine, but still the best for new eyes. US Airshows beat UK Airshows 8/10 to 6/10 , the flying at UK shows restricted but mix of warbirds better. Where USA airshows better, you can come early and walk the flight line and talk to owners, touch the warbirds =10/10 !! In the UK you are distant. BRITS , come to a USA gathering like wings over Houston !
