@@yoonahkang7384 Do you remember how T.V used to be? There used to be only cheap shows with few set's. Remember renting new release movies like Freddy Krueger or the last boyscout. That was o.k but expensive. Specially when forgetting one in the VCR costing you like 50$. Remember going through channels on your t.v without finding anything good. Now compare to today's level of t.v shows. It's a no brainer. Still...most people are complaining about the dumbest things. I think complaining can lead to less programming not more. Jeff Bezos won't put up another billion dollar after most trash Ring's of power like if it funny. I don't think anyone is going to invest in bringing us The Silmarils after that level of complaints.

I got to see the first 2 episodes in theaters. Really awesome to see it on the big screen. Both Vickers and Walker are perfect for their roles, and Ben Daniel's Cirdan was a big highlight for me. Really solid start in my opinion.

@@purefoldnz3070 Strongly disagree. I have a LOT of problems with S1. This one is at least trying to stay closer to the lore. My only issue is with the wizards. I'm really hoping they turn out to be the blue wizards. Overall that's my only gripe. I'm really enjoying everyone else's story line. Curious to know why you think it's worse.

@@purefoldnz3070 Brother, that's literally the part I said I don't like. And yes I've read Hobbit, LotR, Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales. I think you're a little too worked up over this show. Find yourself a better hobby. It's an adaptation. They're never perfect. The great thing is the books will always be there to go back to. I've got much more important shit to worry about in my life than whether or not a streaming show is accurate to the lore.

When season 2 was being advertised, I finally binged season 1 and the first 3 season 2 episodes. I had been putting it off from hearing such terrible reviews from fans of Tolkien. I myself am one. I haven't read every piece of writing Tolkien ever wrote, but I'm quite well read... and I have to say, I think the bad reviews are, for the most part, due to Tolkien snobbery from purists. Is it 100% Tolkien. No. Were the Peter Jackson films (as glorious as they were) 100 % Tolkien. No. But I love them dearly. Watching Rings of Power for what it is, a bit of escapism into Middle Earth, it is very watchable. I have enjoyed it, and I haven't enjoyed much TV of late. Watching RoP has reinvigorated my Tolkien reading. Which I think shows based on books should do. Anyone still holding out, give it a watch. You might be surprised.

I appreciate that prime is doing these interviews however what I miss is the true behind-the-scenes of how it’s created how the show runners are structuring things and why or what the director thinks. Felicia Day is awesome in so many ways however I do not think this format does the show justice, nor do I feel that this is what Felicia is fully capable of. Is there anyway that we can go back and also get true deep behind the scenes coverage. Something closer to what we saw with Picard or Halo shows that had similar behind-the-scenes content?
