Shangri-La is 99.99% confirmed to be on Earth AND Mars at the same time. Shang used to be on Mars in like 200BC where the Vril (Apothicon natives) lived. When Shadowman and Monty started fighting, it caused issues on Mars making the Vril's use the last of their magic to teleport to another planet with similar breathable air and foliage, which was Earth. When we (the players) play on Shangri-La, it's April 1956, and you can clearly see Earth's moon, Luna, in the sky. During the Easter Egg, you go into an Eclipse mode, which teleports you back in time when Shang existed on Mars. We know this because we can very clearly see Phobos, Mars' larger moon, covering Luna, meaning we are on Mars. When you leave Eclipse mode, Phobos is gone again. So that's the breakdown of Shang on Mars. The 2nd part to this is where Tag der Toten is also on Mars' other moon, Deimos. When doing the "Secret" achievement, you are flung outside the map into a body of water. This body of water is a temporal vortex that teleports you to the other side of the "planet"/moon where you can literally see Mars. We know the body of water is a temporal vortex by the way we have to swim in order to actually arrive in front Mars (that being swimming down, around an "invisible" space/time wall, and swimming upwards on the other side of the space/time wall exiting the wormhole). In the music video for Tag der Toten, it is 100% showing itself on Deimos. In the storyline, Pablo talks about how he's trying to boat away from the station, but as soon as he no longer sees it, he arrives right back where he started. Originally we thought he was trapped in a timeloop like Brock and Gary in Shang, but no he is trapped on a literal moon and boats around the entirety of the moon thinking he's actually in a larger area. Call of the Dead 100% is in Russia, but because the multiverse starting to collapse in on itself after Revelations, sections of the past timeline were scattered across the multiverse. This is not my information, this comes straight from Glitching Queen's videos about the recent revelations. And if you've watched EruptionFang's 6hr45min long video explaining the entire WaW-BO4 storyline, these details 100% fill in missing information with actual logic behind it. Treyarch will never actually come out and tell us this, but with all the details and facts across the 10 year story, all the radios, all the character's voice lines, the comic books they came out with-- literally everything about this accurately fills in missing facts. Obviously nobody has to believe it, but it makes perfect sense once you know the entire story. Also, in the code, the rocks and mountain ranges outside the map are literally called mars_rocks.png. So are the rocks and mountains on Nuketown too. The grey boxes are either our playable characters initial spawnpoint, OR they are the individual activations for each main Eclipse steps in the egg.

To remove death barriers you can just add this line to any GSC mod menu: level.player_out_of_playable_area_monitor = 0; or to enable them again just change the 0 to a 1.

I believe those boxes at the end of your video are for all four characters when the map is loading to first play. Once the map loads, the players are then teleported to the actual map

Shangri la was suppose to be completely different, it was suppose to have like two parts of the map and one part was called Temple of doom it was all in cut content… this map should have been much larger

shang isnt on mars just google what an eclipse looks like on mars and you'll see either moon is WAY to small to look the same as in game edit also since mars' moons are captured asteroids they are actually falling into the planet as opposed to our moon which was created from our planet and is drifting away so traveling back in time (what the crew is doing in canon) would mean they would be even smaller in the sky

Wait Ascension still has death barriers? I swear I was just noclipping it a couple weeks ago and didn't run into any, and I went to a bunch of different areas too. - See if the Console Enabler from AZA on the Workshop works, that's what I've been using to no clip maps
