Shi No Numa surprised me honestly. I thought at first all it had to offer was a jungle and the sounds of monkeys, but after researching Tunguska it seems the map was based around an actual event. Quite interesting indeed...

Shi no numa takes place in Japan, when the element 115 meteor entered earth’s orbit it broke into 5 pieces. 1. A swamp in Japan (Shi no numa) 2. A factory near Breslau (Der Riese) 3. Groom lake (Area 51) 4. A Tunguska river (Call of the dead) 5. Griffin station (Moon) Fragments also ended up in: 1. A theatre in Berlin (Kino Der toten) 2. A jungle in Asia (Shangri-La)

​@@Kadin_Behr im pretty sure it went to mars but it's originally from Earth. The teleportation of locations started once element 115 landed on earth, hence the human-made structures and earths plants being on mars

​@@yuuji_1K I was questioning that too but it entering the atmosphere doesn't mean it landed. It could of entered the atmosphere, picked up speed then flew out of the atmosphere at a different angle and hit the moon. Quite possible.

The invisible barriers being so ridiculously high started I think in BO1 or BO2 to fight against all the different glitches people would fine. I'm pretty sure anyway

I used to love trying to do the glitches back in the day with my mates and getting the most rounds as possible and finding Easter eggs. It really isn’t the same now it’s either we have lost the feeling if that or it actually was better and more thought about back then.

360 call of duty’s were the best 10 or so years ago. I feel the CoDs now don’t come anywhere near the 360 days I’d take them over the current gen CoDs over the old gens anyway

Elevator glitches, jump spots I used to love doing them with my mates you don’t ever hear about them nowadays cause they don’t either exist or the game mechanics have got so good that any kind of thing like that can’t be done. I’d love if that stuff stuff existed I’d play private match for hours just to do them things deals players randomly found .

When the moon dlc was released. You could get out of this map simply by letting a zombie hit you under the barrier in a specific spot.

Peter McCain was at the Verruckt facility first I believe and then was taken to Der Riese by the time Dempsey and the other Marines arrived, that's why he's missing an arm and is on the power switch then obviously met his demise in Shi No Numa

Meteorites with element 115 fell in many places on the planet, Tunguska is one of the places where a meteorite once fell. Deposits of the element in the ground have been found in Germany and France, for example, in the Mariana Trench, the corpse of an apothikon was found. (Sorry for my bad english, I am Russian)

I remember the old way to get out of this map legit on BO1 just lying in a corner outside one of the shacks. Then there was a swimming animation and a specific path to get around to the different parts outside the map. Used to be so much fun

Peter McCain was on verrukt and when his cover was blown tank Dempsey and four other marines are sent to verrukt to extract him but Peter escapes himself to shin no numa in Japan before having to bail from his plane and chute doesn’t deploy properly and he gets stuck in the roof

Shi no numa means "swamp of death" in Japanese and Tunguska is a region of eastern Siberia bounded on the west by the Tunguska rivers and on the east by the Pacific Ocean, has its origin from the Tungus people (Evenks).

Watching this reminds me of all the fun times I had with my friends on WAW on Xbox it makes me so happy. I think 10 years ago because recording videos and finding glitches was new and the internet wasn’t really a big thing we all had to find it out for our selfs that’s what made it special. I used to spend all night trying to do glitches and beat the zombie rounds with my mates that way of playing is lost now if you know what I mean it’s sad. as an og no new cods compare with the old ones on 360 I wish I could relive those days they were the ones.

Ever seen knife jumps? That's why barriers are so big. My fav knife jump was on call of dead, you can zip yourself above the railing on the sub from spawn, was hilarious and so cool

The tunguska event in zombies is based on a meteor event that happens in shino numa with element 115 and Tunguska is actually where call of the dead from BO1 happen

There was a glitch in black ops 1 where you can swim under the water to get out of bounds that’s probably why they make barriers that crazy 😂😂

Tunguska is refference to real live events from tunguska..meteor did KABOOM And killed bunch of stuff...here they replaced it with 115 on shinonuma ogs and all that

Did you know vurruckt was gonna be a map where you had to break out of the asylum and then head to the village down the road to seek out help and survival equipment it was meant to start off with the first major story in world ar war zombies but the devs scratched it entirley to work on black ops one i think they missed a big hit on that idea i would of loved to off had to escape the asylum to get to the villiage gutting i know this because it was my idea and activisions top dogs didnt wanna allow more budget because they wanted to get straight to work on black ops 1

@@OscoBosco tbh that’s probably just a fun EE they added to shut the zombies community up. If it were truly on mars there would have been some reference to it on chronicles… or on the loading screen it would have said mars and there probably wouldn’t have been explorers there either.

@@Squiddy-go1du Chronicles actually kind of leans into the Mars theory as well. When you get to the eclipse step, the moon looks a lot more like one of mars' moons than our own. Just some food for thought

@@Squiddy-go1du The textures I was referring to are named after the mars cliffs they were taken from, they were updated in chronicales with updated versions of those exact same cliffs, retaining their name.

​@@Jon-dz3fn that actually was a thing since BO1 the moon was already deformed and had the shape of that specific moon but people didn't want to believe it The thing is that both, Shangri-la and Call of the dead/Tag Der Toten aren't in Mars and it's Moon They are on earth and at the same time on Mars and Apophis (i think it was that moon) due a space-time bubble around those places generated by the fragments of the meteor, it's something related to non-euclidean physics and stuff They're in two places at the same time
