What makes Kulken believe the program is "waiting around". There's at least 2 parties to a sale USC can't just not let them leave. It's the players' market. Arledge is correct. Filling other needs while they are negotiations for tackles doesn't mean your neglecting the defense. It's called competition.

The NFL draft was as I expected, maybe even more fortuitous, Kingston and Byrd being drafted at all, so SC having 5 -7 picks is pretty meh. I remember that talk of double digits draft selections and I just laughed at such ridiculous nonsense 😂 when have we had that happen before. Helton sure gets blame but our staff last year was a clown show too. We won’t have success in the draft until we have successful winning seasons, and who knows when that’ll happen

Always a god show, guys, thanks! But Chris, the Dodgers actually overachieved (IMHO), but they had to dump salary in order to avoid the monstrous luxury tax and get into the market for Otani. Kulkin is a basketball guy, so it is reasonable that he was more disappointed by hoops underachievement. Eric, being a football guy, is understandably more disappointed by the football underachievement.

No offense to the players brought in during this latest portal but, to this point, SC has absolutely blown it. They signed Raikes, fine, and it's not their fault he left. But that you can't sign any other interior d-lineman is not only pathetic, it will cost them wins next season.

They are getting the snot kicked out of them next year. They don't have to worry about Ohio St. Or Michigan, but teams like Maryland, Minnesota, Northwestern, Nebraska, Penn St., ect. It's going to be a very hard year.

Riley's refusal to hit in practice leads to players not developing, and it shows on the lines more than anywhere. Riley needs to get a clue: when players aren't in game shape going into the season, you are putting them at a higher risk of injury.

If Henny, Nua, and Lynn can't get you to the NFL, who can? But, that doesn't seem to be priority #1 for some of these guys. They want the NIL $ NOW. This is screwing up traditional CFB. On the other hand, Riley seems to be able to find his gems. We will have to wait and see, perhaps a longer than we want to wait.

Whats the point of having the portal recruits sign NIL bag in this portal period time and then have them enter next transfer portal even though they signed a contract? A lot of these recruits do not honor their contracts but the legal issue behind it these contracts will ultimately catch up to these recruits. 🤔 0:03

Helton was better than Reilly in developing NFL quality wide receivers. Addison was developed by Pitt & had a better year than at USC, so he doesn't count. Smith-Schuster, St. Brown, Pittman, London are all much better than anyone Reilly developed. Is USC now a place that WRs go to die? Rice and Washington are long shots to even make their NFL squad. Marc says he comes from a sales background. Was he a life insurance or shoe salesman? Marc

The whole - they outbid us bit, gets so old regardless of the fan base. Even funnier when it comes from a fan base that others view their program as one of the highest bidders in CFB. Maybe just maybe USC has alot more to prove defensively other than just hiring a new coach? You guys have this impression that if it wasn’t for NIL USC would just sign whoever they want? One year you grab one of the most coveted and probably the best DT that’s been in the portal in bear but then just the following year you can’t land anyone and it’s because of NIL? You just had the highest paid player in CFB history leave the school and now? You can’t afford to bring in a jag DT in Barrow? Gotcha The one common denominator with USC’s program over the last 2 years? LR. Maybe just maybe the problem starts there? I’ve also read the following from your guys site. You don’t bring Grinch from Oklahoma and then you don’t bring him back in year 2 if you’re the makeup of a great HC. Let’s look real quick who LR has had behind center up to this point in his career as a HC. You have to give him credit for getting these guys ( mayfield stoops was HC but let’s use him anyway ). Mayfield Murray Hurts Rattler CW I wonder how good of a HC he would be without a sure fire NFL QB? Shoot3 of those were heisman winners. Again you have to give LR credit for being able to get these guys to begin with, other than mayfield but still that talent at QB sure covers up a lot of deficiencies of a HC or OC. Success and failure stops from the top down. LR just isn’t as great of a recruiter, outside of QB’s, that a lot of people give him credit of being. Just look at Oklahoma’s recruiting classes these last 3 years compared to his last 3 years there. It’s not even close. He said you can’t recruit blue chip defenders to Oklahoma. What’s his excuse now since he’s no longer there? It’s not Grinch as he’s gone. Starts from the top and I think the perception that’s easy to sell against is that LR doesn’t care about the defense

Oklahoma is the winningest program in the modern era. Hard to put teams ahead of that along with the level of consistency. Using a NC as a primary metric ? That’s not what a blue blood is based on.

Pick your poison guys.. A ton of those schools with 13 draft picks, those players disappear in the NFL. Being picked Day 2 doesn't mean anything in the NFL. USC players usually become Pro Bowl NFL players and thats all that matters. NFL success vs the schools with NFL failures. Look at Talona Hufugna All Pro!!
