There's ads on Craigslist for work where you apply. And they place people inside of your car in Tjiuana then they want you to cross the person inside the trunk. Be careful when looking for work in Tijuana.

I use to live in Southern California and often went to Tijuana with friends for the day when I was younger back in the '60's - '70's. I moved away from the West Coast to the 'Heartland' many decades ago. I found your video interesting but I do have to say that from what I see, not a whole lot has changed much in Tijuana over the last 50+ years - same tourist areas, same squalor, same friendly people.

You capture the amistad and warmth of the Mexican people in Tijuana. You mispronounce TJ several times: It's "tee-wanna" (2 syllables) not "Tee-ahh_wanna" (3 syllables).. Most of us gringos make same error until we are corrected. The interviews were so brief at breakneck speed. All is very rushed, but I know that the first few visits to Tijuana are always rushed because we're curious, excited. and a bit scared. Keep going !
@CouldbeNE18 сағат бұрын
Actually, you got it wrong too..... should be "tee-hooana", if you want to be more phonetically correct.

DEA run the cartels. Obama had Fast Furious, Bush had Wide Receiver, that's where USA was smuggling guns into Mexico, to "track" them. USA says it was only a few thousands of guns that they smuggled into Mexico, but AMLO showed how Mex calculated that USA smuggled over 5 billion dollars worth of weapons into Mexico. Mex government sued USA gun makers. CIA used to run Mexico since the time of its intendance, up until 6 years ago. CIA had the Merida Initiative... USA increase violence in Mexico, and then US sends help to fight crime = billions for USA weapons makers. Drug money goes to USA banks. ...and Mexico is doing much better now, no DEA, CIA, FBI, etc. allowed to roam freely in Mexico. Average of 6 toms of drugs ceased a year during AMLO administration, compared to an aver of a quarter of a ton during previous administration. AMLO stopped and reverse the upward trend of violence, make key arrests. ...and so much more. AMLO and Trump ended Obama's drug war, USA is moving the drug war to Ecuador.

If you go to Hong Kong, Chicago Club, etc. You will be fine, just get dropped right in front and when you’re done get a ride back to the border to cross over. When you go walking around or driving around, you’re risking it. Been visiting TJ since 99-00 and never had any issues because I don’t go looking for trouble or negativity. Calle Coahuila is pretty safe in my opinion if you stick to the tourist spots.
