As the host nation this Olympics has come at a great cost to the Japanese people so it is so nice that the athletes are posting good and positive contents about the accommodations. The cardboard beds were chosen as the most sturdy, environmentally responsible option for athletes without risking covid spread by reusing the beddings. They get to keep the blanket and stuff.

These cardboard beds were originally used when we had natural disasters and lived in an evacuation place for a while. It's more hygienic to sleep on beds, not on the floors in such a place.

The idea is great. Recyclable, easy to assemble, but still strong enough. However, the question is price. How the hell is a cardboard bed $200US??? There are other cardboard beds at price around $70 with same quality. Keep in mind the company which received the orders from the project is owned by the former prime minister Abe's brother. There's something going on. You gotta admit.
@123rain123always
@123rain123always 3 жыл бұрын
@@user-ok9lm3fj5l I don't think it costs nearly USD 200. Somewhere it said appx USD 70, but the mattress costs fortune compared with the cardboard beds. In fact, many international athletes have a sponsorship deal with this company. If the recyclable cardboard beds have decent quality, it doesn't matter which company can offer and/or who owns the company. I don't think we have many competitors when it comes to the cardboard bed business as of today. (We have a lot of natural disasters every year, but not in many other countries. The demand is different.) If the reputation for recyclable materials is good, I'm sure more companies will start producing those beds, and the costs may drop. I think this is well done not to waste a lot of stuff from the Olympic Village after one use.

Dont tell a lie.that is 2000 dpllarsfor each. And its not enough for a big athelete preson sleeping roughly to sleep on that small bed.The next day the player sleeping there will surely have a bafd condition in playing.

The Tokyo Olympics are an experiment whether it can be held with a disaster recovery appeal and a low budget. In addition, it is important to use sustainable recyclable materials by eco- It is the recycling of metal collected from mobile phones and personal computers that have also collected medals. Therefore, the athletes' village will be sustained as an apartment after the role ends. That's why it's built with sustainable, recyclable materials. In addition, Japan must appeal recyclable materials and eco-technology.
