One of the things that makes Imperio so much fun to watch IS her self-expression. I find it exhilerating to watch and hear her enthusiasm and frustration. It makes you feel part of the competition, because this is how all of the competitors feel whether they show it or not. The most BORING thing in the world is to watch some of the Chinese athletes that show NO emotion. It's like watching a robot and a dead cow. Giulia Imperio, Karlos, Olivia their emotion is what makes it exciting.

Those Chinese athletes are under great pressure from the whole country’s people. In the range of weightlifting, China is a big, and it’s expected that all athletes can get the gold. In these years, this circumstance seem to be reduced, but decades before, those athletes really felt too much pressure, if they didn’t get the expectation, there would be a criticism. I think their play not boring, they usually hide their emotions, and the only goal is to play their best. It’s also to be appreciated.
