I would first like to say thank you for learning the English language so we can understand what you are saying. I think a lot of English speaking people take that for granted. Your videos have made it very inspiring to want to visit the city of Odessa and your beautiful country of Ukraine. Let’s hope peace arrives very soon and my thoughts go out to your soldiers who are providing the ultimate sacrifice. жовтий і синій!

@@golokavrndavana I think you said many Ukrainians speak English very well. Not quite sure about the second sentence. I’ve been learning some Ukranian and find it very interesting. If I could just understand the 7 cases I would be much better. So if I make it to Ukraine and don’t pronounce the endings of the adjectives, nouns, etc. correctly, please forgive me. Many thanks!

I was surprised when I visited Odessa that it is laid out like Washington D.C. . They were founded around the same time. The tree lined streets. Parks and wide avenues give them both a warm feel. I got to work all around Washington D.C. for 40 years. Odessa is the only city I have ever been in that rivals Washington D.C. for pure beauty and charm. All cities have their rough parts. The people in Ukraine were always very friendly, helpful and warm towards me (I only speak english) . If you like to travel, Odessa and the surrounding area is a great destination to take in.

I went there to see my g/f and I remember some of the places you show on video. City center, and a few other places. But sad to say I have not been there since that time. American here. I just got back from Ukrainian. I traveled there with was shocked to see that the service people were still speaking in Russian. We didn’t know what to make of it, and then we met a waitress who started speaking in Ukrainian. When she was thanked, she told us she fled to Odessa from Crimea several years ago, and she said “ something nobody talks about it but a lot of people in Odessa are pro Russian.” Any one have insight on this?
