I'm I'm looking for ways to extract the film out of disposables to use in other cameras and this video was very informative, thanks. It's much easier than I thought. BTW, my anxiety was going crazy when you were playing with the film roll, exposing it to light lol

Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm sure there is a much better procedure to open the case. There's likely a specific tool unless it was opened by machine at photo printers. I exposed the film roll as more of a demonstration of what it looks like exposed. I knew from the start that I would not be processing the photos on the film.

I wish it was a video about reassembling the pieces. And how to reuse this kind of camera
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback. I guess it could be possible for this camera to be re used since there is no battery. There was a bit of work to take everything apart. To reuse the camera, the biggest challenge would be to take the two cases apart without damaging them. They would then snap back together. Film would need to be loaded like any old film camera with a little bit out so the teeth of the wheel can grab it then with the camera completely closed, you could wind the film back.

is it possible to use it after you take it out of the waterproof case?
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 2 жыл бұрын
Yes. The camera in this video would function without the case also, it had no flash (or battery). If the camera was not damaged internally (or film damaged) while removing the case and there are still exposures remaining with the film, it would work.

That's an interesting story. I think that disposable film cameras such as these receive attention from people now because most of cameras these days are digital and intended to be used many times.

Hi just wondering but what is the purpose of that wheel thing at the top and everytime u take a picture do u have to wind it until it clicks?
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 2 жыл бұрын
The wheel will wind the film into the film canister and move the film to set up a new frame to be exposed to the light and take the photo with the shutter. It’s a manual process for each frame but it eliminates the requirement for an electrical motor or battery to wind the film.

@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 2 жыл бұрын
If you want the filmed developed, it is best to leave the camera alone and ask the film (photo) developer to take it apart. Also make sure that all the exposures (photos) are finished, meaning that the camera can not take any more photos and cannot wind anymore.

Amazing video!! I find it hard to push the button to take the pictures tho... actually i can't figure out how to do it, do you have any tips?? I haven't used my camera yet bc it just won't work :(
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 3 жыл бұрын
The button on these types of cameras should be able to work with no problems if the internal parts are set in place and not broken. If these parts are set, other issues that may keep the button from functioning could be that the next exposure/frame of the film needs to be set (by rotating the thumb wheel). Another possibility is that the film may already be rolled past the last frame/exposure and no more photos can be taken.

Heyy , im done woth photography , how to take out the film from camera so i can go i scan the film , i need to break it like you did ? There is no other way ?
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 3 жыл бұрын
As far as I know these cameras were made to be opened at the film processor/printer. I never seen the process done at the printer so I can only assume that they had the proper tools to open the camera quickly, but these cameras are designed for single use. Photography film needs to be processed in a dark room/dark machine before it can be scanned. If you open the camera yourself, you have the risk of exposing the raw film (if it’s not fully in the film roll) which will destroy the image on it.

How would I get the pictures out from the camera
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 2 жыл бұрын
I would try to take all the pictures and make sure they are wound up in the camera. Then contact a company that will process film photography. They may be able to open the camera. If they cannot, you will need to open the camera to take the film roll out of it, and make sure that the film is rolled up before opening the camera. If the film has frames of pictures that are exposed to light, they will not print. Once the film roll is removed, it can be sent to a film photography printer.

When you take out the camera of the waterproof case, is it possible to reuse the case if you loaded it with another disposable camera?
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 2 жыл бұрын
It could be possible depending on how it was taken apart. In the video it was carelessly taken apart because it was going to be discarded. There may have even been a tool to use for these cases when they printed the photos from the film.

Unfortunately, I do not. Because most of not all were sold without documentation for the specifications, it may be possible that only the engineers and manufacturers know this information.

How do you turn the flash on?
@TryAdaptLearn

Thank you for your question. The camera in this video had no flash or battery (for a flash). Disposable cameras with a flash usually will have a dedicated switch to turn on and off.

If you want to process the film you might have luck by making sure all exposures are done (take all photos possible). Take the camera to a film photo processing company. If the film is taken out by hand (and not a processing machine), it must be completely in the film roll and done in a photography dark room. It must then be processed using photography chemicals and photography paper.

do u know how to view the pic that u took??
@TryAdaptLearn
@TryAdaptLearn 3 жыл бұрын
The view the pictures, you would want to take the camera intact to anywhere that processes color film for photos. They should be able to take it apart properly without exposing the film. If they can’t take the camera apart but can process the film, then there is no guarantee. If I was in that situation, this is what I would do: 1. Take all the pictures/exposures. 2. wind the camera as much as possible after there are none left. 3. Take the camera apart. 4. All (or most) of the film should be in the roll. If not, whatever is out of the roll will not be able to process into a photo. 5. Take the film roll to someone who can process color film photography.

Dude, please clean your fingernails if you're gonna do close-ups like that. It looks disgusting. I know we have inflation, but soap and a brush isn't THAT expensive.

I’ll keep that in mind. It’s definitely not meant to disgust anyone. When working on various tasks with your hands or on a work bench it’s easy to forget that the camera is close.
