@ChinaSongsCollectionКүн бұрын
@@hengongchua6250 Actually, for some unknown reason, it seems that WION has now changed. They are no longer attacking China non-stop. They sometimes even say positive things about China!!! 😳 I think something must have happened behind the scenes in the WION channel. It seems to be becoming a genuine news channel, which is WEIRD, but in a good way.

@@Ib_Maurya, I have been to China and India many times before. The difference in China is foreigner regardless of which country they are from. You pay the same price for everything like the locals. There is no such thing as one price for the locals and higher price for foreigners. It is the law and if the local shop, restaurant, taxi charges foreigners at a higher price than usual, they will be punished if they are caught. But in India, it is common for foreigners to pay higher prices than the usual local prices for almost everything. Taxi, food, shopping hotel, rickshaw in fact everything. Also there are many beggars and scammers especially waiting to target foreigners and tourists.

An Indian couple can happily, freely wander around on the streets in China doing video recording of all the surrounding without anyone stopping them. Wow!!! this is real freedom. I doutb a Chinese couple can do the same in India. No beggar following them asking for money. No touting and scammer follow them and pester them to go shopping or sightseeing. They can walk and wander around without fear of any danger.

When I first visited Huaqiangbei Electronics Market 20 years ago, it was full of fake knock-offs. These days, many "fake" Apple/Dyson products sold there actually come from the same factories and production lines as the official ones. The only difference is that the products sold in Huaqiangbei haven’t gone through Apple’s final quality control process. If you break your iPhone or lose an AirPod and need repairs or replacements, that place is a great deal. When I visited Shenzhen last year, my iPhone screen was cracked, and the battery had failed. I got both replaced for a fraction of the cost compared to the U.S., and in the end, I decided to pay them an extra $15 (100 RMB).
@TravelwithPrateekКүн бұрын
Thats true! I have seen so much around in the market that at one point it was really hard to believe! But definitely a good deal if you can manage with the Apple level self quality check 😄
@Jason-ct8soКүн бұрын
@@TravelwithPrateek There are different specifications of products on the market, and the prices are fair. My Apple product is out of warranty, so I repaired it here and I can choose original Apple accessories. It is much cheaper than the official store, many Hong Kong people to repair Apple products.

It depends on what you mean. China is still a 'developing country' according to the UN definition, which uses GDP per capita as a measure. But most countries in the West including many outside the West now refuse to use that definition for China (maybe rightly so) because that definition was created many years ago when low GDP per capita usually means you are poor. It was made to benefit poor countries, but China is not poor. It also doesn't help when the name implies you have poor infrastructures, which clearly don't match China's current situation.

Oh, by the way, a few years ago, my Indian colleague and I went on a business trip to Shanghai, and he told me that, aside from the language barrier, the biggest challenge for Indians visiting China is the food. In fact, in all the major cities, there are Indian restaurants, and plenty of vegetarian options as well. The second time he visited China on his own, he asked me to write a note for him in Chinese saying, "I am a vegetarian"-which is "我吃素"-to show at restaurants. That definitely made his trip a lot easier.
