Super enjoyable vlog!! All the sights were amazing so many to mention - art exhibition building and the Dior lady art collection, the temples etc. You really looked like you had an absolute fantastic time! Love these China vlogs - stunning place! 😍

I really did😊 Loved exploring Shanghai at my own pace and checking out things that wouldn’t necessarily be included on a typical tourist itinerary :) Shanghai is such a beautiful city! So lucky I got to see the Dior exhibit😇

Your vlogs are always amazing. And that warehouse??!! It was like the fashionphile cages!! Incredible!
@LesleyAdina16 күн бұрын
Aww, thank you Lisa❤️ You are too kind! The warehouse was insane! Obviously I didn’t get so see Fashionphile so I have no in person point of reference but one huge plus with ZZER warehouse was that you could just walk around and take all the bags from the racks and shelves, including Chanel. Even exotic quota bags were just sitting on shelves😮💨 Felt like a kid in a candy store🙌🏻

Love it! Such a vibrant city. It seems like the Shanghainese are a little more cosmopolitan compared to Beijingers when it comes to seeing foreigners such as yourself. Off-topic question: what microphone do you use?
@LesleyAdina15 күн бұрын
I fell like that is true :) Comparing Beijing and Shanghai, the latter definitely feels like more “westernized”. The mic I use was part of the “Creator Kit” when I purchased my vlogging camera, which is the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Hope that helps :)

I got it at Heytea :) They had a collaboration with Kusama. Not sure if it’s still running though.

I didn’t notice them until I sat down to edit this vlog. Idk if that’s a good or a bad sign🫣 At that point in my trip, seem to have grown oblivious to people staring at me while I’m vlogging. I think they were just weirded out by me talking to a camera.

@LesleyAdina so much to see and as long as eateries are aware of your food requirements then you would enjoy the food too 😊😊. Heard a lot of German speakers in HK on Christmas Day😂

@LesleyAdina usually for Silvestjahr as there are fireworks but maybe they want to see what it is like and travel elsewhere after especially the 30 day visa free for mainland only lasts until end of this year.

the waterways or rivers in water towns in China are all murky or greenish because of algae, I am guessing it smells as well. Maybe the Chinese thinks it normal to have murky water because rivers in China are murky like the mother river: the yellow river. It will be much much beautiful and astonishing if they can clean them by applying filters and plants at the river bed with koi fish. Think about it, China.
It's unfortunate that some people form opinions based on limited or biased information. Shanghai's cityscape is actually quite stunning, with its rivers and waterways playing a central role in its vibrant atmosphere. Many of these areas are lined with upscale restaurants and cafes, offering picturesque views and a bustling social scene. It's a far cry from the "dirty and smelly" image that some might try to portray. Perhaps those who hold such negative views haven't had the chance to experience the real Shanghai.
