FINAL Main Street Electrical Parade Performance at Disneyland Park EVER!
The Main Street Electrical Parade's life and existence has been officially "unplugged" and "powered off" for good, signifying that this is now the end of the Main Street Electrical Parade's run ever. This parade has been premiering since the night of June 17, 1972, and has immediately become a beloved Disney classic ever since. On the night of November 25, 1996, Disneyland copy of this parade has it's farewell season, as it was supposed to retire, but that idea all changed, as July 2001 came to the present time. The parade was then renamed to "Disney's Electrical Parade", and ran at Disney California Adventure up until April 18, 2010. Disneyland's copy of the Main Street Electrical Parade was then shipped to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, as the parade was only meant to run for two months for a "Summer Nighttastic" event that went on all summer of 2010. That was no longer the case, as Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom kept the parade from June 5, 2010 until October 9, 2016. During the month of August 2016, Disney has made the decision to return the parade to Disneyland for the first time in about 20 years at the time. Then the night came... on the night of January 20, 2017, the Main Street Electrical Parade has returned to Disneyland Park in over 20 years, and for one final time. The parade's run was scheduled to run up until June 18, 2017, being the day after the parade's 45th anniversary, but due to high demand, Disney decided to retire the parade on the night of August 20, 2017. And finally, the night came... on the night of August 20, every single viewer of the Main Street Electrical Parade's final performance said their final farewells to the parade, as it was now it's time to glow away. And now, the Main Street Electrical Parade is now retired once and for all. May this parade continue to live and glow on, within the deepest reaches of our heart, and memories! Long live Disneyland's Main Street Electrical Parade! Thank you for everything, and farewell, old friend! Oh, and one more thing... this might not be the end of this parade's run, as an announcement is to come relating to this parade very soon, as stated from Disney at the D23 Expo! So stay tuned for that alleged announcement!

I was lucky that i was able to see it at California Adventure a few years ago, then i saw it again at the Magic Kingdom, and now being able to see it back home at Disneyland was like a dream come true. Seeing it going away is really sad cause i loved it so much growing up when it came back in the early 2000's, I really hope there will still be a future to this amazing nighttime parade

is it just me or does it seem like once the parade reached Matterhorn Way. the gaps between the closing/announcement and fanfare were less frequent (it seemed like we heard it about every minute by that point

i think the parade will return to Disneyland for Christmas then go to Florida soon afterwards because looking by this time Disney didnt do as much compared to the "Final Night" in 1996 (as pointed out by Bmanlegoboy) and also the parade is being moved to an offsite warehouse near Disneyland so it could be possible for it to return over to Disneyland Christmas then move back to Florida

In my opinion I don't think this is the last ever run because as I have stated over and over again If you compare the final run at Disneyland this year compared to the final night at Disneyland in 1996 you can tell this year wasn't really a big send off unlike 1996 which could hint that it WILL DEFINITELY RETURN in the future

Ryan Dole they could have done that but they might have been destroyed ages ago I mean if it was the last ever performance of MSEP they could have at least built a new version of the Pinocchio float that went missing after it's run at Walt Disney World ended and Disney Parks Blog could have said before the it's limited time stint at Disneyland began or a few months before it ended that "the limited time run at Disneyland will be the *last ever* run of the Main Street Electrical Parade" but of course they never said that it was going to be the last run for MSEP so I think it has got to return again I'm thinking either it goes back to Walt Disney World or it starts running seasonally at Disneyland once Pixar fest ends
