terrible. But that Pilatus PC-12 didnt just break up. The pilot was not proficient in hand-flying the aircraft in case of a system failure. When the autopilot failed or kicked off, the pilot was so far behind the plane he was barely hanging on by the static wicks which then led to him exceeding Vne and breaking the plane up. This accident was totally preventable with proper pilot proficiency.

YOU ONLY mention the gospel family, what about all the other people who died on the plane. The title should say the total number of people who died then the fact that three family members of a gospel group died. They always mention Amelia Earhart died in a plane crash and never mention the navigator who was on the plane with her. Yes they mention the others way later in the video. One famous person could be on a 747 with over 400 people and when the breaking news comes on they will only mention that person name the others will follow later. This happens all the time. The pilot interviewed said that it can start to go up and down and that’s likely why it broke up. I watched an interview with Denny Fitch once who was on flight 232 (incredible story, so sad though) and he talked about how a plane will do this with an autopilot error sometimes because I think the plane starts to try to compensate for lost lift by going up, but then it loses speed so it heads down to compensate for the speed if that makes sense? And it continues going up and down because it loses lift, then speed, lift, speed etc. I’m no pilot but he does an amazing job explaining it all lol

Probably pertains more to balance than weight; the aircraft that they used has a maximum payload of nearly 2500 pounds. The amount of people + their luggage likely would have only accounted for half of that figure. Too much weight, & the plane would have been forced to pitch upwards into a stall (Reached its critical angle of attack). Otherwise, the other valid theory, as suggested in the video, was an Pilot Error.

People like you who make ignorant assumptions about a plane’s safety and quality based on size and use the word “hate” so loosely. You have better reason to hate cars because they’re far more likely to crash than any plane. First off, the PC-12 is one of the most safest, modern models on the market. Second, small planes will always have a place as certain places can’t be accessed by anything other than a plane in remote regions and all pilots started out on small planes. Most of all, we literally do not know what even happened asides from knowing it had something to do with autopilot. It could be pilot error or software error, nothing to do with the actual airframe of the plane itself. Get a grip.

The Nelons have been around for a long time. Kelly and Todd's dad, Rex started the group back in the mid 50s. He passed away in a hotel in London a night before a Gaither concert in 2000, of a heart attack. Sorta ironic.
