A California exterminator discovered thousands of acorns flowing out of the wall of a house in Santa Rosa. A real-life Woody the Woodpecker hoarded more than 700 pounds of acorns into the wall of a house. The exterminator actually saw the woodpecker trying to put more acorns in the chimney stack in the house. Woodpeckers are the ultimate stockpilers. They can hide 50,000 acorns in a single tree.

@@Chromebeetle_ I pretty sure that not how that work… If there is air gaps, it is resting on another acorn or the structure of the house, it won’t rest on air unless it’s pressured air that is applying a greater and constant force than its weight.

This is adorable. I used to live in and apartment and when I went to move out and was deep cleaning, I moved the fridge and found a little mountain of dog food behind it. We must’ve had a little mouse and he’d sneak out in the middle of the night to sneak little pieces of kibble. Thank god I never saw the mouse. It really was cute tho.

We actually had birds themselves at one point in our attic. They were entering through some pipe or something. Then some would get stuck. I don’t remember exactly what happened it was a while ago but there were a lot. Probably not as many acorns though lol

Hope they at least left some for the woodpecker after all that effort. It would be like finding out your bank account had been depleted after years of saving, but on another note...I had no ideal they ate acorns. Lol, I would've falsely convicted a squirrel, with naïve conviction.

I wish they gave it back to the woodpecker. He worked hard for those acorns and he deserves them! They took away his retirement fund.
