When two of my sisters were pregnant they told their bosses and they were given extra help at work. They allowed them to leave early and they said it was less stressful because so many people were willing to help. My eldest sister said when she hid her pregnancy, she had piles and piles of work to do. She was a young mom and didn't want to be judged but she said she wish she had said something. But definitely do whatever feels best for you.

My cousin was pregnant since Jan/Feb and nobody, except my auntie and a few of the family knew. A majority of my family didn’t even know until she was about to give birth. It was shocking to me at first, and of course I was happy, but in the same breath it was confusing on why she didn’t say anything. I asked my auntie about it and asked her about how she felt about it and she told me about my cousins struggle with getting pregnant and her miscarriage she had, it was traumatizing to her. At that point I understood clearly on why she didn’t tell anybody. I honestly felt ashamed at myself because I just jumped to conclusion, and it really wasn’t any of my business whether or not she got pregnant and decided to tell anyone, but from this story I hope you guys understand that some women don’t feel comfortable telling about their pregnancy until later on because they might be dealing with something we don’t even know about.

I found out I was pregnant one week before our state closed down. I began working remotely and nobody saw me for months so it was just easier to not announce at work until I was about to take my maternity leave. It’s different when people see you every day and see your body changing.

I didn’t tell anybody that I was pregnant, just my husband and I parents and siblings and mine too. It was just easier to not deal with everyone’s opinions and unwanted advised. I didn’t show till I was 7 months down. It was amazing. It help my husband and I true my connect to that special time. When I gave birth I called people to tell them.

When I found out I was pregnant I only told a handful of people and among those people was a close cousin whom ended up telling other people then when I posted a random non pregnancy pic some random aunt commented on my pregnancy. I was so furious because I wasn't 3 months in and I was afraid of miscarriage and when I confronted my cousin about she acted like she had no idea how that certain aunt came to know. Later that day I was suppose to meet up with my cousin and sister and she never showed and haven't spoken to her since.

I did this with my last two children. People still have no clue that I had a baby in 2018 and 2020 because i didn't want all the fanfare and questions. It's pretty funny popping up with surprise children on those you haven't spoken to in ages. Only my, my husband's family , and very few close friends know. Compared to my first child almost 13 years ago where everyone knew, doing it this way was way more peaceful (minus the pandemic)! I totally adore my incognito babies! However, I just don't recommend giving birth during a pandemic. 10/10 do not do it. Take that birth control and use condoms until it's a bit less scary out there ladies! We got pregnant before the pandemic but it was so stressful worrying about delivery.

I got pregnant by accident (it was a miracle, too, cuz I was really sick and frail from stress) a month after quarantine started, and told my mom and friends. My mom ended up telling the rest if my family with my permission. I posted it on social media only to update my profile pic of me in my awesome, Gothic maternity shirt and told the court for jury duty. Other than that, I don't care who knows unless it helps me and my family. 😆 People should only tell who they want and that should be okay.
