He had to eat & drink something though. Also, my Dad has type 2 diabetes, if he doesn't eat and his blood sugar (which is usually high) gets too low because of it, Dr's tell him drink a cup or orange juice real quick before he goes into a coma. Either way, diabetes or not, they still had to eat and drink. Sad situation. Especially if he didn't have any of his medications on him.

yes i know that, but I suppose they knew those distances between the cities. If they did, the best thing to do is to walk, and it doesnt metter in what direction either, they would cross a road sometime. Since they were on some sort of road, i would pick the same road and go back. Even if it took them longer, lets double the time- 2 days.. its still better than 14 days of extreme surviving and witnessing your husbands death. im not bashing this, i feel sorry for them, but its kinda bizzare. @NoJusticeNoPeace4 жыл бұрын
After two weeks? The average person can go 30 days without eating without risk or harm, and 60 days before dying. I've done a 40 day fast myself, just salt and water and spirulina pills (for basic protein so my heart wouldn't get damaged). Carrying that much weight she could probably have lasted three months without a crumb of food. The real danger is water. Three days without water and you'll start having seizures and muscle cramps so severe that you'll snap your own bones. You'll be dead within four days.

In addition to what is listed, I have a socket set, breaker bar, electric impact wrench, spare fuel, chain saw, tire chains, air pump, tire plugs, extra fuses, wire, duck tape, zip-ties, rope, and a four-wheel drive pickup truck so I greatly reduce the possibilities of needing any of it.

One time my mom, dog, and I got lost in a Forrest while hiking in Tennessee, and we were stuck there for 4 hours and we didn’t have any food before we left to go, we got lost because we took a wrong path to get back (they only had leafs as a path) we had no cell service so, we climbed up a steep part of the mountain, and there was a little cliff only a few feet away from us, and there was a 20 foot drop, so we couldn’t go down there. On the part of the mountain, we luckily got high enough to get 1x service, we called the police somewhere around 6:00 P.M and then at 8:00 P.M my mom heard people yelling, so she yelled back to let them know that we where there, and my dog started to bark (he was the size of a chihuahua) then 5 minutes later 2 park rangers came and helped us get back to the trail. Finally at 9:00 P.M we left in our car (we got at the hiking trail at 5:00 P.M) then when we got at our house it was 10:00 P.M .

For everyone saying he should've listened to her and turned back, that's exactly what he was doing but he failed to turn around correctly in unfamiliar territory so he crashed the car and then they couldn't drive anymore. It's a tragic accident but I agree sticking to safe, busier roads is a must, esp if your phone doesn't even work.
