I was 23 at the time and was working at a hotel when I first had mine and a family walked in to check in, I tried keeping it together but they were upset because I'm sure they probably thought I was on drugs or something, it was honestly one of the scariest feelings and i had already been on 2 combat deployments prior to that.

High blood pressure is the leading cause for strokes and heart disease. This is the reason I walked away from drugs and heavy alcohol consumption. My blood pressure was extremely high at all times . I also went back to exercising everyday.

My dad suffered a stroke the night before and went to work. His coworkers thought he was drunk :/ they let him drive himself to a clinic. We lost my dad for 6 hours not knowing where he was. We found him and I had to take him to the hospital. It'll be a year since this happened and he's able to walk again and have some mobility on his left side. But it was super disappointing that no one knew what was wrong. The signs of a stroke was obvious but people thought he was drunk..

My aunt had a stroke and didn't know. She was at church with one of our relatives and when she stood up, her back was to him and he asked why she was leaning more to one side, when she turned around, that side of her face was slightly drooping already. She had a hard life emotionally; buried 2 of her children 1 yr apart and then her husband died shortly afterwards. She always presented a stoic front but I guess it took a toll and she wasn't aware.

I had a massive stroke 15 years ago(I was 16) still don’t know why. 🤷🏻♀️ glad she’s okay. A blessing she was surrounded by people. It could have been much worse if gone undiscovered.

Definitely. Their quick thinking and fast response definitely helped to save her life, or at the very least her quality of life. Doctors refer to a “golden hour”. 60 minute time frame for doo to treatment for a stroke. Patients who can arrive at a hospital, get the work up and treatment within that golden hour have a FAR greater chance at survival.

I've had two strokes and feceived no medical attention for the first one since I had no insurance plan I healed myself. It wasn't easy. The second happened recently and was mild I was taken to the hospital. They changed my diet and gave me some new meds and I seem to be much better now. I'm 73 so I don't expect to live much longer, so I thank the lord for everything he does for me . I hope this young lady recovers completely and has a bright future ahead of her.

I’m a ruptured brain aneurism survivor. I too was at work, at school actually just before I went to class. Underwent surgery the next day, stayed one month in the ICU at the neurological hospital and then went for a year and a half of multiple therapies to be where I am today. The neurosurgeons said that I am a miracle survivor! Hope she makes a full recovery.

That happened to my sister back in the 80’s. She was about the same age. Her aneurysm burst in the middle of the night. That’s what saved her because it clotted. Glad you’re ok, as is she…scary to think she had a 5% chance of making it through the surgery.

@@FD-iv6si I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my sister too, she died of a ruptured brain aneurysm when she was only 30 , I was 50 when mine ruptured, exactly 25 years after my sister’s passing. Also, my father had an aorta aneurysm near his heart. I hope you and your family get a MRI as a follow up. Good luck and have a nice day.

@@bungalowmo She was lucky. My sister died from a ruptured brain aneurysm in the 90’s. My neurosurgeon told me that I only had a 2% chance of survival considering where my aneurysm was located and the size of it. That’s why they said that I’m a miracle survivor..

My cousin was a 6th grade school teacher who suffered a stroke as he was sitting in his classroom grading papers. When he didn’t pick his kids up from Gym class his wife in the classroom next to his went to check on him. He suffered a minor stroke. His aunt who is my grandmother suffered a major one in her mid 50s. Drs were sure it would kill her but it didn’t. Thru therapy she learned to walk again but never regained use of her right arm or her voice. When I gave her eulogy in 1996(20yrs after her first stole) I talked about what an inspiration she was. I also said you could still get “chewed out” by her even thou she could only make 2 sounds. I always could figure out what she wanted bc I was 5 when the big one it, was oldest grandchild and had a very special bond with her So glad the news anchor is going to be ok.

I feel like her professionalism almost made it worse. I wish she would have said hey I just lost vision and my arm went numb. It's not like she would have been fired for messing up the report. I'm glad her coworkers knew what was going on. Honestly I would not know by looking at her. Usually the face get droopy but hers seemed fine.

I feel so bad for her, because I know what she was going through. I survived an inoperable ruptured brain aneurysm which caused two heart attacks and seven strokes. You can see that somewhere inside her mind she could hear that something was wrong, that some connection was broken between reading and speaking. I hope that she, like me, survives.

@@claytonstokes8655 that was my little half brother's nickname. He was born and everything seemed normal for a few years.. he could walk, run, talk and laugh. Then he started having seizures that changed him. He ended up not being able to walk, talk, feed himself. My Dad and Step Mom had to take care of him. Come to find out.. he had a missing chromosome. He died April 2020 at 17yrs old. But they called him Superman because everything he been thru and got thru. Best wishes to you and your Wife, Clayton!

I briefly worked with a woman who had a stroke in her 30s. She claimed that it came as a result of her drinking massive amounts of Diet Coke. I looked into it and yes, drinking 2 or more diet soft drinks a day does in fact increase your likelihood of having a stroke.

I’m glad she’s okay. This happened to my dad two years ago while my parents were in a restaurant for dinner. My dad reached for his fork when his food arrived and couldn’t pick up the fork and my mom and the waitress knew immediately something was very wrong. Luckily they were right across the street from a major hospital. She had him there in like 3 minutes. He is totally fine today.

I was taken to hospital by my wife. I,d had a heart attack, and while in emergency I had a stroke. Yep in emergency while being treated. Was rushed of to another hospital for treatment. Came through it ok and am even back playing golf. One very lucky guy. I’m 69. Glad your dad’s ok also.

Hope she's okay! I had a mini stroke in 2018 which left me now stuttering when I talk, and my short-term memory lapsed. I do not recall things the way I used too! Same thing happened to me. I was talking to my daughter and I started slurring my words she alerted my dad and called her mom who works in heart health care. She said it was a stroke and they took me to the emergency room ata nearby hospital very quickly. They treated me successfully and I suffered no bad effects, thanks to the quick and proper response.

My mom had a stroke so bad she had to do PT for months. It made her entire left side weak, especially her arm. It took her just over a year to fully bounce back from it. It was freaking awefull.

After the second covid vaccine shot my older sister started feeling dizzy while standing. Her doctor couldn't find anything wrong - blood pressure, everything where it should be. She used to walk 5 miles a day with friends plus her regular exercises which she stopped for fear of falling. 2 months later she had stroke and died. They'll never admit it but I'm betting on the vaccine! Very glad her coworkers were so prepared! Could well have saved her life!

I think one of the main causes is corona or corona vaccination. All those in the report did not meet the specifications mentioned by the doctor. Pretty much the whole day is a blank up to around 16:00, when I started preparing food for the evening meal. Very surreal experience, but it could have been a lot worse for me. No kidding, It's normal for young people to have strokes. I wonder what changed in our health in the last 2 years......
