When Di Fara opened in the 1960's, they charged 15¢ for a regular slice, 20¢ for a square. In the neighborhood, their pizza was considered good, but not exceptional, with no long lines, celebrities, or awards from food experts. Many locals preferred Pizza Center, which was a couple of blocks away. Di Fara does not reheat slices, which is one reason why the pizza tastes great, but a fresh slice from a pie made in many other Brooklyn pizzerias, will taste just as good, for half the price of Di Fara's. I'm glad Di Fara is still in business, regardless. .
@sketroux45803 жыл бұрын
I'd have to disagree, I find Di Fara to be unique, but I can see why you think that. it's very similar to Katz how both are excellent but you can get just as or almost as good for cheaper at tons of other places

Obviously it's all subjective BUT you're wrong 😂 . The pizza that was made by Dom is the absolute best pizza I've ever tasted and I tasted it all ( particularly in NYC ) . I work at the difara at Caesars palace in Las Vegas and we don’t ever.. ever I MEAN EVER use fresh cut basiil to top out pizzas when they finish and we don’t oil our pizzas a second time. For sure our sauce is not nearly as thick and rich as what appears to be in this video. Ours is really watery and salty and last but not least I don’t even think we use the proper dough mix. The difara pizza in Las Vegas is garbage
