Depends on if the locals are open to trying. Japan is particular in recreating foreign food for Japanese palate, and I feel like birria tacos would have really different spices compared to Japanese cuisine. I know that Shanghai has been digging taco places lately, but the ones I’ve seen are more salad bars than authentic tacos, they’re mostly “design your own wrap” for people on a diet. Taco Bell opened a few locations at popular, fancy shopping districts in Shanghai, but I don’t know how business is over there I don’t think that East Asia knows a lot about Mexican and Latin American cuisine, so it would all depend on whether the locals are willing to try it or not. But I feel like China and Taiwan would really love it if they tried
