The really weird thing was that it took so long for the activated charcoal trend to die out because of the "detoxing". Doctors have used charcoal for a very long time to help against poisons and toxins. The charcoal binds all of that together and either through the mouth or the butt the now harmless chemicals are flushed out. Even my grandma used to do that. The problem with that is not only is nedicin affected but also vitamins and minerals, meaning this isn't good for consumption even if you don't take any medicin.

here is the science behind charcoal foods (this is my personal knowledge) So charcoal has a ton of surface area and as a result can bind to toxins such as nicotine and the toxin in deadly nightshade it can have health benefits but for the majority of people there will be a negative effect (tldr activated charcoal is good for nicotine poisonings) edit: I forgot to say that basically don't eat poison treatment on a regular basis
@marstothestars33 Жыл бұрын
…Except that it’s really not that harmful. For instance, charcoal has been used to filter water. Not only that, but when charcoal binds to toxins, it doesn’t stay in the body, so the charcoal leaves with the toxins. That, and from personal experience, me and my family took it in pill form regularly a few years back when we were all dealing with black mold and heavy metal poisoning. It helped greatly, and I really wish people wouldn’t just take the FDA’s word for it. They have been wrong about so many things, and this is a good example of that.
