PS, MSG got a bad rap a few decades ago. It is simply a form of sodium. Yes we should watch our sodium intake. However MSG naturally occurs in things like tomatoes. It makes things extra delicious. It has not been proven to be an allergen, as far as I can tell from some research. There was a bias against Chinese restaurants because they often use MSG, a reviewer put fear into people about it and the stigma remains to this day. Look up Harold McGee's scientific take on MSG and decide for yourself.

Usually fish sandwiches come out during the Lenten season, which is a time Catholics observe from March (Ash Wednesday) up until Easter and abstain from eating meat on Fridays. Since Popeyes is a Louisiana founded company, and Louisiana has a large Catholic demographic, this is likely why the flounder was released. I believe it's currently on the menu. 6:34 The only way this video’s creation was possible was the fact that 3 Popeye’s locations opened in London. 2 of which (Whitechapel, Battersea) are kitchens. Popeyes in UK where I used to live east, north and now west London never have seen popeyes (Just discovered taco Bell yesterday)

You barely discovered Taco Bell?!? I wouldn’t want to live in the UK. I’ve been eating Taco Bell here in the US since I was a kid in the 90’s

I think the difference between a biscuit & a scone is often scones have more sugar &/or fruit added. Where scones don’t usually have sugar added. Although you can get savoury scones in uk too that usually have cheese added.
@kurtpunchesthings24112 жыл бұрын
also to simplify it even further a Biscuit is literally an Oven cooked scone you can achieve a similar result by taking an average Scone and cooking it in the oven for a few mins

Al that sugar leads to obesity
@nahor882 жыл бұрын
I never get drinks at fast food chains unless they have healthy drink options, which most don't. I'm already doing harm to myself with the burger and fries, last thing I need is a bunch of HFCS. I even try to only get a burger or chicken sandwich, cuz fries are literally empty carbs. The sandwich at least has SOME nutrition.
@awh42722 жыл бұрын
@@nahor88 fries are the worst. All carbs that breakdown into sugar in the body. So if you have the drink plus fries you are just sugaring yourself up n kicking off insulin levels, and that tells your body to store fat. Bleh...
@nahor882 жыл бұрын
@@awh4272 Pretty much exactly why you can point to fast food for the high obesity rates particularly with lower income communities in the US. We saw the same thing in China when American fast food restaurants made their way there. The fast food giants made their food easy and affordable, so low income families with lots of children in particular can turn no where else. If it were up to me, the US government would crack down on the soft drink companies and prevent people from consuming HFCS-loaded sodas like Coke and Pepsi. The problem was only made worse by Covid.
@awh42722 жыл бұрын
@@nahor88 the real problem are the sugar lobbyists, putting sugar even in your ready meals. And yes the same problem was seen in India and many other countries like Hawaii. As soon as cheap western food and drinks arrive, obesity skyrockets.
